Angelina Jolie:Empress Of Earth Citizen Of Sarajevo!

| Filed under: Brad PittAngelina JolieFilm FlickersPolitikInspiration

Oh Angie, we await the inevitable day you take the throne as Earth’s Queen, while Brad Pitt serves as your beardy jester King, and your billion-person brood will bask in your pouty glory!

But for now, gaining honorary citizenship in Sarajevo will have to do!

Sarajevo has welcomed Angelina Jolie into its bosom as thanks for the positive work she did for the country with her movie about love and war, In the Land of Blood and Honey.

Authorities announced that they wished to recognize her efforts for portraying “the truth about war” in her Bosnian based film, and will hold a ceremony in her honor on May 3rd.

What country will fall under your enchantment next, we wonder??

The Country of Perez is already smitten!

perez sarajevo is a city, you cant you citizenship to a city. she is a citizen of bosnia and herzegovina

She funded this film, she could not possibly have written the script since she has stated publicly that she needed to be "informed" about the war in Bosnia, at the time of filming! She would only deserve praise, in my opinion, if she tried to shed light on events in Bosnia when they were happening. If she sought to stop the genocide or mass rapes by the Serbs, she would deserve some credit. But all she really did was fund a movie who's subject matter

  5. 5

    she is ignorant of.

Good for her. I look forward to seeing the film.

Re: Deja Vu – It would have been pretty hard for her to shed light on the events in Bosnia when they were happening - she was just a kid at the time. But, she has tried to shed light on a number of other world conflicts as they unfold. She has been an advocate for refugees for years, and I think she deserves some credit for that.

Re: rosebud99 – She was between 18 and 20 years old, hardly a "kid". But you seem to defend her on many stories. I'm glad you're looking forward to this very controversial movie about rape and genocide, get some popcorn!

Re: Deja Vu – I guess I do defend her. I find the whole 'husband-stealer' thing so misogynistic and why some, like Angelina and Leeanne, are judged so much more harshly than others, like Elizabeth Taylor, Julia Roberts, Alicia Keys, Britney Spears, Tori Spelling, Natalie Portman - and the list goes on and on, I find confusing. She has done so much more than so many others - I don't see a problem giving credit where credit is due.

    Pusher woman of AFRI-COM.

"The United States Africa Command, in concert with other U.S. government agencies and international partners, conducts sustained security engagement through military-to-military programs, military-sponsored activities, and other military operations as directed to promote a stable and secure African environment in support of U.S. foreign policy."

In other words, a complete military takeover of the continent of Africa, so EUROPE can lasso entire regions of resources and and use those claims to back new debt for the next 100 yrs of luxurious royal living. On behalf of the American soldier doing all the work of course.

i find it very funny that we give such kudos to a person who lives such an extravegant lifestlye while being aware of all the hardships in the world. the new engagment ring could help alot of people. the world will not change until everbody is considered equal and deserving . until they are ready to give up a life that more than 90 %of the world can only dream of they are not humanitarians and should feel shame when accepting awards and representing the needs of the poor while having such outrageous luxury

Re: sick of it – Give us a break and let Angie live the life she want. She even deserves that ring and more for her time, energy and money spent for humanitarian issues. What have you done? Angie started her humanitarian missions at a very tender age, very beautiful, talented Academy Award winning Actress when Brad was not yet in her life!!!

Brad found everything in her and no wonder she was the woman every man would like to be with! She has everything, just dont want to sit down on her beauty, wealth but act for others too! See even what Brad learned from her? - Re building of New Orleans!!!!God bless Angie and Brad.

    Re: sick of it
yeah, maybe they should just do nothing like most people do. They earned their money and they could keep it all as many do, but no they have a bit of a heart so they give one-third of their money away, what do you do? Well, beside criticize others that do give? Controversial subjects are what motivates change. It forces people to face it. Of course many want to stick their heads in that sand and pretend it isn't there, but good for Angie. She puts her interests in change for others to see and work on. She can't do it alone, even if she gave away all of her riches. The masses are what make change, not an individual. Yet an individual can start the ball rolling, which is what she is doing. Don't ever citicize someone because you think they give too little. Little things are what change the world.
