Beauty Queen Gets Crown Taken For Being Secretly Married!

| Filed under: Wacky, Tacky & TrueBeauty Buzz

Carlina Duran Beauty Queen.jpg

As with any "Miss" pageant, you can’t be beautiful AND be a Mrs. to fight for the crown!

Carlina Duran, a 25-year-old contestant who snagged the title of Miss Dominican Republic 2012, just got her weave crown snatched off her head!

Why? Turns out, Carlina got her title taken away after her secret marriage was uncovered!

Supposedly, the DR beauty pageant requires ALL contestants to be single ladies — no rings on it allowed here! Not even divorced women can compete, which makes sense seeing as it IS the MISS Dominican Republic pageant, after all!

The beauty queen kept the marriage undercover while taking part in the pageant, having been with her hubby since 2009!

Scandalous!

The title of Miss Dominican Republic 2012 has now been given to the pageant’s runner-up, Dulcita Lieggi.

Guess rules are meant to be broken rules!

thats stupid!! they let a tranny compete but not a married women??? SUE THEM CARLINA!!!

She lied, she's out. Stupid rule, but it is what it is. ALL PAGEANTS ARE STUPID anyway, but this even proves more how stupid they are. Married or not, you should be able to compete. I can't imagine why ANYONE would want to, but that's just me. I don't go parading about around men judging me, nor will I ever. It's degrading to women, and someday women will figure that out.

Uh, double standard much? Funny that you have no problem with the tranny who lied and broke the rules being let back in the beauty pageant, but not an actual WOMAN who lied? I agree that she should be kicked out if she broke the rules, but the tranny should've been kicked out and left out because s/he broke the rules too! Stop being such a hypocrite if you want people to take gay rights seriously!

I guess if it doesn't have to do with a he/she, Mario isn't interested in fighting double standards.

Beauty contests are so yesterday. Should the surgically altered candidates be disqualified?
Seems that the contests have become a venue for plastic surgeons.

I have always thought that rule was stupid. I mean, let's discourage marriage.

Well, as silly as this seems, Transvestites and transsexuals can be in the pageant, and married and divorcees can't…Now that's a paradox of some dimesion…
