Audra McDonald Tweets At RUDE Audience Member!

We thought food was only allowed in Broadway theaters during INTERMISSION, anyway! But, perhaps this was a special case?
Audra McDonald, star of the Porgy and Bess broadway revival, was so infuriated by an audience member’s noisy chip-bag rustling during her evening performance, that she tweeted during the show:
"Dear audience member crinkling ur bag of chips like it was a musical instrument…if I can get through the 1st act w/out chips, so can you."
The actress later made light of the situation, however, tweeting:
"Forgive the bad grammar in my angry stop crinkling ur chips tweet & Mr/Ms audience member? Enjoy ur chips all u want now. It's intermission."
HA! For serious though, that was kinda RUDE! Proper theater etiquette, ya'll!

Must have been pretty annoying… but what she said was funny. Haha
Gives you an idea of the class of people she attracts
By any chance was that Al (Rasin Face) Sharpton in the audience ?
Having sat through an entire performance while members of the audience behind me ate their dinner, slurped their drinks then promptly threw their garbage on the floor, I think food in live theaters should be banned. No need for apologies Audra.
I understand that theaters need the revenue provided by selling food and drinks, but I had sat through performances where many in the audience are drinking beer, wine and eating. It is very distracting and annoying. I once was sprinkled with beer, when someone next to me started laughing while trying to drink.
Good for Audra.
