Ellen DeGeneres & Tim Cook Top The Fifty Most Powerful Gays List!

| Filed under: Gay Gay GayEllen DeGeneresAnderson CooperGleeLGBT

See, all you silly bullies? Homosexuals are successful too!

While it’s a little ridiculous that this list even exists - sexuality should play no part when ranking successful people - it evidences that those who aren’t straight are still thriving in a world where ignorance and bigotry is practically institutionalized!

Apple’s new CEO Tim Cook takes the number one spot on OUT's power list, and the lovely comedian Ellen DeGeneres shakes it in second place!

Glee and AHS creator Ryan Murphy, along with journalists Rachel Maddow and Anderson Cooper, also rank among the top ten.

AND WHO IS THAT in spot 39???? Oh, you know, it’s just… PEREZ HILTON!!!!!

OH we are and have been so so so blessed in life… but we can’t say it hasn’t been a challenging journey!!!!

For the full list of power-gays, take your mouse down south … AFTER THE JUMP!

Just proof there wasn't a lot to choose from if you made the list. Unless they're counting the power to make your readers disappear.

  2. 2

    Congratulations Perez!

  3. 3

Wow all these people choose to be gay, and they get celebrated for it ? This world has really come a long way in immoral behavior.

You mean they have a brain too?

A lot of the greatest artists of all time were gay. How ignorant people are!

i love love love this list! it makes me so unbelievably happy that an educated, productive, activist-minded, and personally and professionally successful segment of the population is getting the public recognition it so rightly deserves! we need more examples like these lauded for their contributions to society so kids can grow up feeling comfortable in their skin and fortified for what life throws at them (i.e., the comments below). i'm so glad perez is on the list, too! way to go, perez!!

Re: runrandeerun – Lmfao. New account, one comment. Not too fucking obvious Hilton that you're still trying to convince everyone how much you're loved and respected. You will always be a pathetic, self-absorbed piece of shit!!!!!! See? I can add exclamation points too!!!!!!

  8. 8

you could learn something from ellen. proud of her sexuality but she doesn't feel the need to constantly shove it down everyone's fucking throats all the time.

  9. 9

Impressive List to be included in/on Perez…a few of these people-like AC aren't "out" are they?

  10. 10

I also see a few over-achievers (in their fields) that I (straight) believe should be on the list that aren't. (Also) where's Chaz Bono? I don't think he should included but he just won a lifetime achievement award the other day didn't he?

  11. 11

    Where's Oprah ?
    Where's Fat Ass Rosie ?

  12. 12

Did Anderson Cooper come out? I love him and it doesn't matter, but I don't remember him coming out.
