Alec Baldwin RIPS Romney For Being 'Out Of Touch With The Average American'

| Filed under: TV NewsPolitikBarack ObamaAlec Baldwin

Alec Baldwin does not like Mitt Romney and isn't afraid to say it.

While appearing on MSNBC's The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell, the 30 Rock star said (with pride):

"Romney is as out of touch with the average American as we could possibly find on the meter today."

Burnnnn!

How is he out of touch with us? We all casually make $10,000 bets on the campaign trail every once in a while, right? Ha!

Baldwin called him "a real blue blood money guy; a rich guy; a country club guy" as he talked about the many reasons he thinks Barack Obama already has the election "in the bag."

Ch-ch-check it out the entire interview (above) and let us know if U agree with the actor (below)!

  2. 2

HA! Everybody knows that Alec is COO COO for COCOA PUFFS! Too funny! Why don't you go back to bashing your ex and calling your daughter a pig! Keep acting because politically you are a boob!

  3. 3

Yeah - Alec Baldwin is such an expert on the "average American". He's one of the 1%!! Isn't he the one who called his own daughter (then 12) "a little pig" on a phone message he left for her? Isn't he the one who got kicked off a plane because he wouldn't stop playing "Words with Friends" on his iPhone? Yep - he's the one we all should listen to. He should just stick to acting, even his hosting was a joke when he tried it. No fool like an old fool.

  4. 4

Re: Ohiogirl – that was radio hosting when he tried filling in on Air America - oh yeah - that failed too.

  5. 5

ha ha ha….he's so in touch…
    this is laughable…
another fucktard liberal so out of touch his ass hair has its own barber…

  6. 6

Do people like Perez(Burnnnn) get a kick out of the celebs when they talk shit about politics and they know nothing about politics! Like they are some saint, and have NO skeletons in there closets!!
Would rather have a 1% run this country then the other 99%!!!

  7. 7

Buurrnnnn?!!???? Seriously, and you are how old? That is about as juvenile as Alec's pathetic comments.

  8. 8

Right. And Alec is soooo in touch with the average American.

  9. 9

Riiight. Cause if there is anyone who KNOWS about the lives of the average American, its Alec Baldwin. Buuuurn….Seriously? WTF!? Please stay out of politics. You are just clueless.

Yea because Alec is so in touch with everyone and lives in poverty………..

It's funny how Americans can be so jealous & hypocritical. The "Amercian Dream" is that everyone has the opportunity to "make it". So anyone can come from poor or middle class beginnings and have the chance to make it big whether it be through hard work, education, timing or luck. And even though that's the dream and why so many immigrants come to the US - for the hope & chance & opportunity to be anything and carve out a wonderful life - once someone DOES achieve the dream, everyone turns on them and hates them for having achieved it & being part of the 1%.

  12. 12

Re: Meggie246524 – That's because Americans want it all HANDED to them these days instead of making any fucking effort and EARNING it. They don't let their sick jealousy inspire them, they get pissed off that it isn't theirs too. There is no admiration for getting to the top, it's more about "where's my piece of the pie?" Doesn't matter if they don't fucking DESERVE it. They want it, so it should be in their useless, greedy hands. And you know what? I'd rather earn it; I'd rather work my ass off for it so I can enjoy my reward that much more. I want it to MEAN something to me. This is why I hold Mario(n) in such contempt; he does nothing but copy from others as he sits on his useless ass. So to all the haters making comments here, if you want to be one of the one percent, MAKE IT HAPPEN BECAUSE NO ONE OWES YOU A FUCKING THING.

I think the "Obama has the election in the bag", is hilarious. Obama's desperate. And it looks like Mario is, too. Seriously Mario, you should stay out of politics.

  14. 14

And he would burn down the SEC. We be have less regulation in Wall Street than we do on a renters agreement. We'd have a repeat of Bush Jr. to the power of 12. Total collapse.

  15. 15

No article about Obama fabricating his life in his autobiography?>

  16. 16

Liberals, with their tiny little brains. The guy he supports, Obama, has plenty of money too. But I guess the reasoning is, he is less rich than Romney, thus he's fully in touch with the average American. Liberals will read this and say, "That's exactly right!" The rest of us will just shake our heads.

  17. 17

Alec is surely not lying, though I'm not sure why he thinks he can speak for the average American when he has his millions and is a household name… Romney will flop harder than Christina Aguilera's "Bionic" album this upcoming election. Obama has it in the bag for sure.

  18. 18

and how is Obama "in touch" to the average american… no one ever seems to bring that one up JUST SAYIN.

  19. 19

oh yeah, im sure he said the same thing about kerr when he ran. and what about his buddies the kennedy's? real common folk there. spend your time playing games alec.

Romney is rich…no kidding. But this rich guy also gives a good amount( 20% to charity. And how m uch does Biden give Less than 1% ! And how much does this "average" "know it all" liberal give…NOTHING!

    21

Oh, and Alec would know since the "average. American!". In my experience, anyone who earns multi millions and hangs onto it and lives that 'lavish' lifestyle pretty much loses touch with the daily plights of average middle-income Americans (like myself). Why doesn't Alec Baldwin stick to what he does best, ACTING.

Re: Meggie246524 – Your absolutely right about Americans wanting more, the dream. but when ur financially successful you give back in ways that you do not glorify yourself or negate others. EVERYONE has value. Humility and integrity are key. Ultimate power and money corrupt, period. Most politicians run purely for ego or more power. JC Watts is a great example. He ran for a US House seat and campaigned he would only stay 2 terms (or 3, I forget). AND he did! Now that's for the greater good.

  23. 23

I love him as actor, but he's a moron. Like Obama is in touch? PUH-LEEZ - Obama is a TERRIBLE president.
America proved it wasn't a racist country in 2008, not WE have to prove we aren't MORONS in 2012

  24. 24

God I love this site. Why do I love this site so much? I really do.

  25. 25

Romney's out of touch, you can see it in his awkward mannerisms. He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. Nothing wrong with that, but he's an empty suit. He's not going do turn this economy around — trust. He's at the bidding of powerful businessmen (Koch, Norquist, Exxon Mobile), politicians (Blunt Amendment, Ryan Plan) and far-right religious extremists and media personalities (Rush, Bryan Fischer). Just yesterday, Romney essentially fired a a gay man from his campaign cuz Bryan Fischer demanded him to. What a spineless yellow-bellied chicken coward. Romney will do ANYTHING the powers that be TELL HIM to do. We don't even know who he is or what he stands for, he just allows himself to be butt phu*ed by the powerful, and you're FOOLS to overlook that.

i agree with every word Alec Baldwin said in this interview. Romney's lack of understanding for middle to low income America will result in policy decisions that make life worse not better. How many of you could borrow money from ma & pa to start a business when you can't find a job after college? Oh, and how many of you are in debt up to your eyeballs if you were even able to borrow enough to go to college cause ma & pa couldn't pay for that either. Also, FYI, Romney's charity money goes to his his church. Not the same as really helping less fortunate Americans. There's a good chance he wouldn't give a dime to charity if he couldn't use it for tax breaks.

  27. 27

People are so dumb. There's probably not a single politician who is actually "in touch" with the average American regardless of whether they're Republican Democrat, Libertarian, Tea Party, whatever! Political parties are quite possible the worst things ever created. I will say this once: NEITHER THE DEMOCRATS NOR THE REPUBLICANS ARE FOR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE! THEY ARE ALL FOR GETTING REELECTED AND HAVING POWER! ll of you choosing sides and dividing yourselves are idiots. This is why nothing ever gets done in Washington and why there's so much corruption. People will elect/agree ANYONE as long as they're from their "party" and no party wants to take a true, full out stand on important issues because they won't want to lose voters. A politicians first job is getting elected.
