What's up with company's trying to fake celebrity endorsements these days?
Clint Eastwood took a furniture company to court last month for using his name to sell products, but now George Clooney and Julia Roberts are having similar problems.
Both A-list stars have filed a joint lawsuit against audio-visual companies Digital Projection, Inc. and Beyond Audio for using "large photographs of Plaintiffs in Defendants' advertising, marketing and promotions."
Together they are asking for unspecified compensatory damages, treble damages, punitive damages, attorneys fees and an injunction against further use of their names or images.
The two stars don't share an attorney, but sources believe they may be suing together in an effort to send a message to other companies looking to capitalize off of Hollywood stars' images and likeness.
