Well, we guess now that he's abandoned the directorial reigns of Catching Fire, Gary Ross has a lot of free time on his hands to pick his next project!
And according to new reports, he has done just that by beginning negotiations to helm the upcoming Houdini, a big-screen adaptation of the biography The Secret Life of Houdini, The Making of America's First Superhero by William Kalush and Larry Sloman!
Apparently, the novel focuses on theories that the famed magician and escape artist used his skills to act as a spy for Britain, the secret service, and various police organizations, and Summit Entertainment, which is backing the movie, hope to use the text as a means to launch an action franchise with him as a Indiana Jones/Sherlock Holmes hybrid!
Especially for someone who was known for movies like Pleasantville and Seabiscuit before The Hunger Games!
But hey! Maybe he's still got the action bug!
And if anyone can make a movie about a Secret Agent Harry Houdini badass without being remotely cheesy, it's him!
What do U think?? Would U want to see this flick??
