Stephen Colbert Is Concerned About Girls Creator!

| Filed under: TV NewsStephen Colbert

Hot off the heels of a season two renewal, Lena Dunham stopped by The Colbert Report last night to discuss her show, Girls!!!

…And by discuss, we mean listen while Colbert lectures her about her character's sexcapades, getting a job and his concern over the wellbeing of 20-somethings these days! LOLz!

Check out how the HIGHlarious interview went down (above)…including a reveal of which Sex And The City character Colbert sees himself as!!!

Ha!

Stephen definitely gets points with us for knowing some Britney lyrics…and so does Lena, for quoting Mz. Spears!!!

We give HUGE props to Lena for being almost 26 and not only starring in Girls, but creating, writing, directing AND producing it as well!!!

Check those numbers again, Lena is 25 and turning 26 in 9 days. Typical though, nobody expects a celeb site to get Hollywood ages correct.

Shes not 24. Shes 26 now.

Although a miniscule amount of "props" should be given in regards to the conceptualization of GIRLS (thank Judd), Lena Dunham and her fellow cast-mates (other rich chicks chosen not based on talent but the fact that they're her friends) of whoreheanous and ELITIST co-stars are all the product of an overly privileged life-style. There are thousands- perhaps millions- of people infinitely more talented that would OBVIOUSLY benefit from having RICH PARENTS like Lena's WHO FINANCED THE PRODUCTION OF ALL OF HER PROJECTS.

oh yeah… this is a coming of age story for a girl… a white, privileged girl. nothing about this show speaks to me, the way this show is cast it feels like they live in a small suburb but it takes place in new york? but no colored people? just the nerdy asian girl at work…. I don't want to be erased by a television show. kthxbai.

You realize this a juvenile attempt of creating sex and the city and that show didnt have much diversity, except of the quintessential hot black man that is blair underwood.

If this is a coming of age story then I fear for our future now more than ever. All of the characters are so flat and vapid. Anyone could have written a sexually charged story about over privileged kids getting abortions and crying to mom and dad to pay their rent. It is depressing to watch a show and hate all the characters. At least give us one we can root for, HBO must have been smoking crack when they took on this series.
