No One Is Watching Gossip Girl

But ten million folks warmed up to the sweet Voices over at NBC!

Did you know that Gossip Girl is still on??

APPARENTLY NOT! FOR SHAME!

Practically no one tuned in last night to see Serena and Blair make mischief in fancy outfits. Monday's episode of Gossip Girl was one of the lowest rated to date, only scooping up 870,000 total viewers. Yikes! Where were you DAIR fans?!

Despite the embarrassing ratings, the network is rumored to be renewing the show for a short final season. (Like what NBC is supposedly doing with 30 Rock.)

But there is some good news from the ratings world!

First of all: The Voice is up! The first half of the show's 2-part-finale was up from last week (but lots lower from last season's finale). That's not all the news for NBC; Last night Smash also managed to round up some extra views for 4th network.

The highest note of the night was the the season-ending episode of Castle. The cop show was up 8% from last week, ending it's highest rated season yet on a high note.

We can't wait for viewership battle between American Idol and The Voice tonight!

I watch Gossip Girl, but I don't watch it when it airs, I watch it later at night when my kids are fast asleep, everything is done, and I can relax for a bit.

However, I wouldn't be surprised if the low ratings are mostly due to fans not liking the whole Blair and Dan thing. I know I'm not. It makes no sense for her to not be with Chuck at this point, and I don't see any real chemistry between Blair and Dan.

No one's watching because the relationship between Blair and Dan is boring and it's made Blair boring. Which in turn, makes the other characters have more screen time, and people just aren't into the newer ones. Hopefully this will all be over in the season finale and she will pick Chuck.

I also don't watch the show when it airs, so I don't know if that effects the ratings.

I didn't watch it, but not because I don't love the show. I just completely forgot it was on. They should do more PR to promote the show more.

No one watched last night because everyone loves CHAIR. Chuck and Blair belong together and all this Blair and Dan crap is unnecessary. It just doesn't work. Gossip Girl is getting old and everyone knows it. It's really sad actually — and Nate, as hot as CCrawford is, he's just an unnecessary character. Like really, the spectator, what is this? I loved GG but now its just getting stupid. Once she got married to Louis, I stopped.

Omg so pissed I never miss a show and last night I saw the tv guide on Comcast and it didn't say new episode. I just figured it was an old episode so I didn't watch. They really need to say new episode Really!

no one watches because dan and blair have no chemistry and it ruins the show

DAIR ruin this show. Also Serena's storyline/ the gossip girl vs. spectator thing has been awful. They need to stop DAIR.

I'm sorry but last episode was CHAIR centric, there was barely Dair parts. Don't blame Dair for the ratings. THE LOWEST RATED EPISODE TO DATE was a CHAIR CENTRIC episode. guess we need more DAIR ;P <3

Re: Cindilu – LOL!!! I was just about to say the same thing! Dair pretty much broke up in that episode

for those of you that didn't watch it and automatically blame Dair. The episode was focused on Blair ditching Dan for Chuck and Serena being with Blair. So if you were such Chair/Derena fans you would have been happy with last nights episode, right? There was hardly any Dair. So invalid statement that it was Dair that brought the rating down, if anything they are keeping it afloat. Please, new argument! How about the fact that the writers have managed to ruin every couple (even one as flawless as Dair) within a two episode span and pretty much make a laughing stock of great potential actors and themselves really!!!! I could go on about the writers, but i'm too tired to go on rn.

The promo was chair centric and all about Chuck's man pain AGAIN! So yeah, no wants to see another round of those.

OMG, of course it was because of Dair.. Common people, last week when the promo was released all Chair shippers were feeaking out 'OMG, GG is back, Chair FTW, now I'm gonna watch again'.. Stop been annoying about that, cause is not Dair faults, the promo was implying that would be good for Chair. And if it was Dair faults the ranting would be low like this one since the 5×16. So, if you don't like Dair it's your problem, but don't blame then for it. But blame GG for being such a bad written show.
And I know, my english sucks. Sorry, but I'm brazilian

They need to get the message that dan and blaire dont work and are completely unrealistic. Why they ever thought it would be a good idea to have them together is far beyond me. It just seems like such an obviously bad decision…

Chuck and problems with parents are very boring and Chair again? 5 years of the same boring!

  15. 15

i haven't watched since the second season when chuck told blair he loved her. i don't feel like i'm missing much, but i do like looking at pictures of their clothes!

Blair and Dan is the worst thing to happen to TV after Rachel and Joey from Friends. Its completely unrealistic and out of character for both of them. No wonder no one is watching!

I started watching for Dair, but lately it hasn't been the fun, sexy stuff I was expecting. It has been kinda serious stuff, plus a bunch of Chuck family drama that makes no sense to me. If the plot isn't going to make sense, then the actors' hair and wardrobe needs to be a lot better esp. among the main cast.

Re: Jenny – If all those five years were boring then why are you still watching?? Chair MADE gossip girl, if you're dair or chair it doesn't matter, you can't deny that. If you think they're boring, just stop caring please, thank you.
