Maroon Five's Moves Like Jagger Was A Mistake!

Aaaaand rightly so. The song is pretty meh!

Adam Levine recently opened up about allowing outside writers into the studio for Moves Like Jagger, and initially, the band was NOT happy about the intrusion!

The Voice host reveals:

"Sometimes a co-writer will write something that's almost better than what you would do, and it's like, 'Shit!'…‘Jagger’ was almost a mistake, I was scared to release it – but also turned on by that fear. It was the fresh injection we needed. We’ve been together a long time – it’s like a marriage, where we needed to get kinky in the bedroom.”

Wellll… go with it if you guys think it'll work for you!

We were't heavily impressed, but that means nothing as it was one of your biggest hits!

AND it seems Maroon Five is all about the Jagger writers Benny Blanco and Shellback, as the scribe duo are coming back for the band's forthcoming album Overexposed which debuts June 26th…

Expect some uber-poppy beats!

I don't agree with you, the song isn't "meh". Katy Perry is "meh".

I don't think anybody who actually cares about music gives a shit about opinion. And I'm not defending them cause i don't even like Maroon 5 (even tho Jagger gets stuck in your head, but well thats the point of commercial music), I'm defending music. And your taste is shitty as hell. Now go back kissing Rihanna and Katy Perry's ass.

For someone who raves so much about horrible pop music (Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato, etc), I'd think that song would have been your favorite. As usual, such a hypocrite if they're not advertising on your site or whatever.

PLEASE stop posting fashion critiques! Not only are they invalid since you have no experience in the fashion industry, you haven't said one nice thing about how ANYONE looked…Plus your comments are starting to get downright nasty and personally based instead of on the fashion. You're using 'comments off' so you can continue bullying!

im sure if we rewind on your site to when jagger came out you probably liked it. you have a right to change your opinion (like myself who loved the song at first but hate it now) but at least own up to it.

Since when did the writers of Perez have any standing in the music industry (and the fashion industry) to make such judgements? They can't even write a trashy gossip site - they have to steal their articles from others sites! People who care about Fashion will go and read vogue…people who care about music will read rolling stone…these people probably don't even know this site exists. I'd say stick to what you're good at, but that would imply I think you are good at writing trash, and you're not.

Way to take something out of context and make a fake headline…

Perez, what the f*ck do you know about music and fashion? Your taste in anything is HORRIBLE! You have no clue what you are talking about. I think Adam Levine is a douche, but this was honestly a very catchy song. You only support and defend people that pay you or pretend to be your friend so you won't talk sh*t about them on your site and push whatever they are trying to sell.

Intellectually dishonest headline. You're like FOX NEWS! How awesome for you…meh.

  14. 14

Oy talk about twisting his words!
I'll take Moves like Jagger anytime over Put your Jiz on me by Kat Graham.

  15. 15

It's funny how someone disses their biggest hit. You think Aerosmith was originally happy about the success of "I don't want to Miss a Thing"? The group didn't write the song; it was written by Diane Warren.
That song is pretty lame IMHO, but I'm sure they love all the money that they made from it.

  16. 16

If they hate the song so much why not donate all the money made from it to charity?
Oh right, because they are full of shit.

Perez, or whoever writes for this site now, what are you talking about? Because when this song came out, you were all OVER IT! and you praised it. stop, just stop.

  18. 18

No, Perez, it's not the song's popularity that makes your opinion meaningless. The fact that you barely know more about music than the average citizen is why nobody should be letting you influence their taste in music. You seem to think that the fact that you love music and studied ACTING at NYU means you are some kind of special voice of reason when it comes to music and the performing arts. Perez, I know people with doctoral degrees in music whose ideas I wouldn't want the public to adopt blindly, but at least their ideas would deserve to be considered! You are a narcissistic blogger who owes your fame to the fact that you terrorized public figures for years. If you really understood music as well as you would like to think, there would be no way you could be a "superfan" of Britney Spears. But please, Perez, don't ever think that popularity is proportional to quality. Kids who haven't yet had to develop critical thinking skills can think like that, but not people in their 30's.
