Oh joy, the 39th Annual Daytime Emmy noms are in!

And ABC rules the Emmy court with 56 nods, closely followed by PBS with 51. Unfortunatly, NBC is that kid no one wants to play with and was the least-nominated major network, only securing 24 noms.

As for specific shows, General Hospital rode the ambulance to the top with 34 nominations, and Sesame Street enjoyed a sunny day tying with The Young and the Restless for the second highest number of honors, 16.

Congrats on EVERYONE whose hard work entertains us on a DAILY basis!

Go GH! The best thing about the show is Jasam, best supercouple ever!

  2. 2

Isn't that because THERE ARE NO OTHER SOAPS LEFT? Wow, great job GH, you beat… oh wait, didn't they cancel that show too?

  3. 3

Opps, didn't see it was from last year. I hope All My Children sweeps it, just to make a point ;)

GH is the best. But Emmys for daytime soaps dont mean much any more. As there are only 4 soaps left.

Re: Kyle73 – There are other soaps but GH is the best and these nominations are as they should be.

HAHAHAHA! Too bad NONE of the people in the picture are doctors!?! Its sad that out of all the characters on the show the main ones that are doctors is only like 2, "Patrick" and "Elizabeth"!!

Used to love this show, maybe will have to start watching it again, it has been a long time. I still remember the best show on GH was when Luke and Laura got married. Lots of good times.

hahaha NONE of them are doctors…and they hardly show an ambulance…or the hospital unless a mobster gets shot…dont act like you know the show when clearly you HAVE NO CLUE….

Combining GH and OLTL has been awesome!! We need to keep watching to save it. I am not a Katie Couric fan, the Chew, and whatever else is on that took over OLTL. I watch Grey's Anatomy on Lifetime instead, during 1-3pm (EST).
