Better than Marilyn? Not by a long shot. This is a tranny, Broadway version at best. Marilyn blows her out of the water. No one will ever have her spark and appeal again.

When Marilyn did this, it's like she's pulling men towards her with her voice, body language and hand gesture. Megan Hilty's voice is powerful… but that power is not sultry, not Marilyn. It's like a lion and a lioness.

I agree , with the former comments: Marilyn was sex on legs , in singing moving ,appearance all about that.

Re: Mimosa45 – yeppers, back in the day it was an instant erection. I had a copy if the orig 1953 marylin issue sold it for $20. years ago. wish i had kept.

Marilyn? Are you kidding? Perez you must not have ever watched Marilyn in action because this is nothing like Marilyn. If you want to see Marilyn perfection looks, mannerisms, performance and vocally look no further than Susan Griffiths - the best professional Marilyn in entertainment today. There are others and another Susan who is good but favors Jane Russell more facially from Europe..

The original of anything is always the best. That being said I do enjoy Megan on "Smash".

Watch the original movie, perez. This girl is too brassy and clunky. Marilyn Monroe had a vulnerability, "non-calculating" quality—a sweetness that she alone conveyed. Perhaps it's because we know the sad, tragic outcome of her life that makes all these pretenders come off as obscene. The only way to do it now is ala Tupac with holograms.

Totally rocked it! Love Marilyn but loooove Hilty too! She's lovely and so extremely talented! She may not be Monroe (no one can replace her) but she is the next best thing! She was making this role her own. She wasn't playin Marilyn peps — she was Lorelei!
    Btw -TEAM IVY! lol

I saw her a few hours ago…She was fucking amazing!!! What people need to understand is that Megan isn't playing Marilyn, she's playing the character Lorelei Lee, which she definitely made her own You can't capture a performance like hers in a few low quality clips, you need to see the whole arc and Hilty's mega watt stage presence in person….She brought the house down with this number. Don't knock it until you've actually seen it. Read the reviews naysayers…
