Are U Ready For The New Normal?!

| Filed under: TV NewsGay Gay GayGleeReal Housewives

Our love for Glee and American Horror Story aside, we think Ryan Murphy has something VERY special here!

Ch-ch-check out the just-released, full preview for his new series on NBC, The New Normal, which focuses on a gay couple (Justin Bartha and Andrew Rannells) who enlist in the help of Georgia King as a surrogate mother, with an added splash of NeNe Leakes and Ellen Barkin for HIGHlarious measure (above)!

And if this is ANY indication of the potential this series has, then we are in for a real treat!

Smart, snappy dialogue, incredible comedic performances, and already some absolutely sincere and heartwarming moments?!

Yes, yes, and YES!

Consider us TUNED in! How about U??

I'm gay yet I'm sick of Perez's gay agenda. This site has become about him, him, him . gay this gay that with a smattering of celeb news. He is too caught up in his perceived celebrity.
What's done in the dark will be brough to the light.

oddly resembles another show. i smell a fail.

  3. 3

    Should be called Abnormal.

I am straight. And I think that any show that centers around straight people is fabulous. Even if I have only seen a 60 second snippet, that's all I need to know that the show is going to be a real treat for everybody who watches it. I am straight….and all straight story lines are something VERY special.

I don't like NeNe Leakes but judging from Glee and this, she is a born actress

Murphy is using the media to recruit new gays.

    Re: Lady Who?
Perez will OVER promote this show because Murphey "asked" him to be on Glee…you do the math. I hear a giant sucking sound.

Although very stereotypical, the show looks pretty relatable and humorous.

    Dear Perez:

Unsincere comments like the one below is what gets people hating everything you support or try to "make happen"…

"Smart, snappy dialogue, incredible comedic performances, and already some absolutely sincere and heartwarming moments?!Yes, yes, and YES!!"

Yeah, Ryan has something very special, it's called AIDS. You are a fucking doosh. Ya see, it can't be too special, since the show already exists, in a funny incarnation, unlike what this will be. It's called "Modern Family" you idiot. What a joke, except this one will have all gay, all the time, instead of letting it just happen, like normal life.

  11. 11

Obvious Modern Family wannabe. May run into trouble using "normal" in the title about two gay men. If "Playboy Club" got cancelled/sponsorship issues, what will happen here?

Why not "My two Dads?" Still would bother some people, but not as many. Not gonna last though.

Re: Lady Who? – You only seem to have comments on things that revolve around gays. Did I say comment? Sorry I ment your smear campaign of dragging the gays through the mud and back into the dark ages. You protest so much I do believe you are in the closet!!!! Even yor avatar screams Lady Who????????????

  13. 13

Modern Family revolves around THREE families within one. Not one of them is the center.

This show seems heartwarming and sincere. I would watch…

Why watch any new show this fall? It will just be cancelled anyway.

    Re: hoochpit

    1) There is a gay couple on the show. ONE. That doesn't make it "all gay, all the time
    2) This show could still exist with a straight couple. It's using a gay couple because it is very much based on and inspired by Ryan Murphy's life. This isn't him trying to convert people, or make everything about gays.
    3) Did you guys even stick around to watch the trailer? I love Modern Family, and I think I will really like this show too. Why can't both exist without comparing each other?
    4) Today, there are many openly gay couples, as well as many gay couples who use surrogates to have children. The show depicts the steady and committed relationship between two men, in a natural environment; how is that forcing it to happen?
