Bobby Brown Sings Tribute To Whitney, Admits He Screwed Up

| Filed under: Music MinuteBobby BrownWhitney HoustonSad SadJay Leno

We’re torn.

We can’t really decide if this is a really sweet tribute or just one of those WTF-too soon! moments…

Last night on The Tonight Show, singer Bobby Brown debuted his new single called Don’t Let Me Die…a track about his relationship with the late, great Whitney Houston.

In the song, Brown, seemingly full of regret, sings how he messed up and didn’t know what he had until it was gone.

Check out the performance from the show (above) and see for yourself!

It’s definitely surprising to see bad boy Bobby almost out of his element — getting real with his emotions, opening up and swallowing his pride. Has he finally manned up??

We’re going to hope this was a heartfelt tribute to his love lost and not just some way to jumpstart his career again…but seeing as his album, The Masterpiece, is set for release June 5, we can't be too sure.

If anything, we hope that this song provided some sort of music therapy for Bobby.

There's no "manning up" here. He's trying to use the last fleeting moments of the attention surrounding Whitney's death to try & keep the limelight on himself while he promotes his album. He's the same despicable bottom dweller he's always been.

It was a really pretty song, some of the lyrics were a little ironic..

Everyone has screwed up 1 time sometimes even more and If Whitney can forgive him & his daughter who are we to hold a grudge.. Him singing the song is no worse then the Whole Huston Family doing a reality show now So who's doing what to soon and Making money off of it .. No need to watch a train wreck that should of been stopped by the same people that are now going to profit off of Whitney WHO chose to do drugs she was a Grown Woman ..
