Donna Summer was WAY ahead of her time. Yes, she was the Queen of Disco, and that alone makes her a pioneer — her music set the path for SO many other great artists. It's a shame that only now, after her death, do so many realize her incredible contributions. We've lost too many great artists, and the 2012 celebrity deaths list is growing far, far too long:
