Rumors are always bouncing around about the next piece of amazing Apple technology about to hit the market and right now everyone is focused on the iPhone 5.
We told you all about the rumored features — which include a larger screen, different colors, stronger shell and faster processor — but now at least one of those has been confirmed.
The next iPhone will indeed have a larger screen to compete with the Android. Sources say it will measure at least four 4 inches diagonally, compared to 3.5 inch screen on the iPhone 4S.
In terms of the phone's overall size, it's going to be longer to accommodate the screen and thinner to accommodate our pockets. Sources say:
"Approximate measurements are 125mm by 58.5mm by 7.4mm—a 10mm jump in height, nearly 2mm reduction in thickness, and virtually identical width."
Expect some new material on the back of the iPhone 5 too. We hear the company is " adding a metal panel to the central back of the new iPhone. This panel will be flat, not curved, and metal, not ceramic."
We were really hoping for a fully functional taser app for self-defense purposes, but this all sounds great too. LOL!
Like we said before, analysts are still pretty set on a fall release date, probably in October.
