T.I. Offers His Disinterest On Gay Marriage

| Filed under: Gay Gay GayLegal MattersLove LineLudacrisT.I.Wedding WaltzLGBT

Well that was… neutral.

T.I. discussed the recent flurry of awesome snowing down on the gay pride marriage parade, eventually offering his two cents to Hot97's morning crew (video above.)

The uber-platinum rapper was adamant on not taking taking a strong position “one way or another” because the issue doesn’t affect him.

Suuuuuure… You say that now!

What if for some reason you and Ludacris suddenly decide to get hitched but were unable to because the terms of your probation don’t allow you to travel to any of the six states where same-sex unions were legal??

Then you might be singing a different tune dropping a different beat, LOLz!!

How do U feel about T.I.'s comments?

You'd only be happy if every guys position was on their knees, bent over or 69.

I think it is a brilliant stance to take if you are for gay marriage. He is speaking to the hardcore idiots out there to pipe down. There are people that are homophobes, they need someone to represent them to get them on the good side!

He is allowed to not care idiot. I am a gay man and i can give two fucks less about gay marriage.

  4. 4

No, he is absolutely right in his non opinion. It's not something that affects him in anyway, so it's none of his business. Not everyone has to be on an extreme side when it comes to social issues.

i'm gay and i honestly can care less about what people think. me and my guy love eachother and our married in our own minds, we dont need a paper to prove that.

theres nothing wrong with what he says. he's right, it doesnt effect him - thats not to say that wont change in the future, i mean who knows, one of his kids may end up being gay. but as of right now, he has no reason to take a solid stance one way or the other.

One of the unique aspects of American culture is the idea that every person should speak out publicly about their views on every topic, such as gay marriage, religion, politics, pro-life/pro-choice, etc. Why is that? Why is the expectation that everyone needs to announce their personal views and when they choose to keep those private or remain neutral, they're bullied/pressured to speak up.

Many people like to keep their personal views personal, and there's nothing wrong with that.

Who is he and why would anyone give a shit what he thinks? You sick fuck Perez.Do you jerk of to this guy too…………….

T.I. and Ludicris? Wow, you were really reaching for that argument, huh Perez?

In most other cases I will agree that half the problems with this world is that people never care about an issue or an injustice unless it directly impacts them. A very selfish way of thinking! Hunger doesn't directly impact me, but I volunteer and donate in an effort to do something about it. However, the problem with gay marriage is that there are too many people who care way too much who will never be impacted by this decision. If you are not gay and against gay rights, how in the world will your life change whether gays can get married or not?

The reason that this is still an issue and it's so hard for their to be progress with this situation is because there are so many people who will not be directly impacted by gay marriage able to make decisions about it. How is that fair? I feel the same way about politicians, mostly men, talking about birth control and my right to have an abortion. Individual, life changing decisions should not be up for public debate.

Perez, T.I.'s comments were less 'neutral' than you are saying. By him saying that the issue just doesn't affect him, he is proving a point that he doesn't understand why people are so against it. He even says, "I don't understand why people are so against it". Did we watch the same video?

  11. 11

He is probably against it but afraid of the backlash it'll cause, look at the boxer guy, he says he's against it and everyone threw a fit. If you're against it, man up to it!

I'm gay, so i'm obviously for it but its sad when people cant give their opinions anymore

  12. 12

I respect his neutralness! I'm so sick of having the debate shoved in my face left right and centre. I am the same as him, it does not affect me, therefore I don't care.

  13. 13

ya know perez…. dumbass comments like what you made about him and ludacris make more and more people against gay marriage… your pushing it makes more and more sick of it….. way to "help the cause" dumbfuck.

    perez, you're just an idiot….

Stop shoving gay marriage down everyone's throats, Mario! Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs. You're a bully to people who don't share your beliefs!!!

  16. manny says – reply to this

yeah whats the big deal? everyone has a right to their own opinion. Im gay myself and I feel you are cracking down on anyone against gay marriage. There is nothing wrong with being against it this is America we are all allowed to our own opinions and rights. And T.I. is being neutral, so I think that's OK too. Not everyone has to jump on the gay marriage train.
