Cougar Town: Showrunners Bill Lawrence, Kevin Biegel QUIT!
Cougar Town is moving from ABC to TBS, and getting new bosses!
The showrunners (people in charge) Bill Lawrence and Kevin Biegel, have announced they're leaving the Courteney Cox sitcom.
Fans of the show: do NOT panic!
Lawrence tweeted this assuring message to people that needed to chill:
"A.) chill. B.) neither Kev nor I currently have shows, so we will both work on CT, C.) if we do get shizz going, we need great guy in place. My wife [Christa Miller] is on the show - you think she'll let me disappear? Please."
He claims that leaving CT is NOTHING like when he stepped down as showrunner of Scrubs before the show's ninth season, because back then he a new job and didn't have time to work on the show. Bill adds:
"Not like SCRUBS 9. Kev and I are in…"
It's rumored the duo were forced to step down because of a development deal with Warner Bros TV.
