Katy Perry was this year's recipient of the Spotlight Award at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards, a very special honor for her, as she is the only female artist in history to achieve five No. 1s from one album!

During her very sincere acceptance speech, she thanked her fans and went on to point out her grandmother, with whom she had brought to the ceremony, before teasing that she would performing her most personal song to date later on in the night!
