Robin Gibb Has Passed Away.

This is so incredibly sad.

After a long and - in the past few months, especially tumultuous - battle with cancer, Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees has passed away at the age of 62.

According to a statement from his family:

"The family of Robin Gibb, of the Bee Gees, announce with great sadness that Robin passed away today following his long battle with cancer and intestinal surgery. The family have asked that their privacy is respected at this very difficult time."

And it sounded as though his health was just starting to turn around.

After all the suffering he endured, we're at least comforted to know that he's now in a better place.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, loved ones, and fans during this impossibly difficult time.

May he R.I.P.

Robin Gibb had the best voice in the history of popular music. In my opinion. And one of the best song writers ever. An incredible talent. I am sorry he is gone.

Yet another youngish celeb has passed away. The Bee Gees were wonderful. They did disco too. Donna Summer and now Robin, how sad.

What an amazing talent. It breaks my heart. I've been a fan since the very early 70's before the disco period. God bless him and his family.

My heart is aching now for the entire Gibb family. I am a life long fan and will always remain one. I grieve along with the friends, family and other fans, when I say GOD BLESS YOU dear Mr. Gibb. Now you voice (along with Maurice and Andy's voices) soars with the angels

First Donna Summer and now Robin Gibb. My family actually had their LPs (yes LPs!) in my home when I was growing up. Sad to see that generation slowly dying out.
