Transgender Beauty Queen Makes It To The Top 12 In Miss Universe Canada Pageant

Being a pioneer in ending discrimination trumps not taking home the crown, in our opinion!

Jenna Talackova, the first transgender young woman to compete in the Miss Universe Canada pageant, did not take home the title during last night's competition, but she DID make it to the top 12, and was one of four other contestants named Miss Congeniality!

According to her attorney, Gloria Allred:

"She's still a winner as far as I'm concerned. She won an 'herstoric' civil rights victory and that I think is frankly more important than anything, any victory she would win, even representing Miss Canada."

Perfectly said!

All the congratulations in the world, Jenna! We hope you are very proud of yourself!

And props to Sahar Biniaz for being crowned Miss Universe Canada, too!

Hey Perez, you do realize most transgendered people don't want to be referred to as transgendered but rather male or female. But I guess that's be asking a lot for you to be respectful.

hey PEEEREX, when are YOU goint to comment on the HATE CRIME committed by the two lesbians in colo??? oh, never mind it was two lezzies doing the crime,,, not the victims. So we'll not see anthing here.

"Herstoric", lmao. Allred is the white Al Sharpton. And getting the embarrassing consolation Miss Congeniality prize is not a victory, lmao. It's like saying thanks for coming out, hope this shuts you up. Gays seem to think any mention is a victory.

It is not discrimination to have a beauty contest for woman only. The point of it is to show the beauty of woman.

What you didn't mention is that 49 women who lost to Jenna are now in need of serious crisis psychological counseling due to the fact that a tranny beat them in a beauty pageant. That's the real story … 49 ladies starting to hit the bottle because they're not as desirable as a 6 foot 1 inch tranny with HUGE Paris Hilton feet.
Anyway, Jenna's about to embark on the next step of her career, and that's, what, tranny porn ?

    grossssssss

That's fine and all for this competition, but I really think that transgender gals should have their own competition, as it is not fair to the real women who want to compete. After all, it does knock some capable women out of the competition, as only a certain number are allowed to compete.

Just because he had his dick cut off doesn't make him a woman. He's still a guy, and nothing can change that.

  14. 14

They have Tranny pageants which is why he shouldn't have been allowed to compete. No matter what a Dr does to you you are a man. He was never going to win he only got in the top 12 so they wouldn't get sued and that is also why he got Miss Congeniality. I have nothing against Trannys at all I know a few I just don't think it's fair for them to compete. It's like having a hair growing contest and someone with a wig showing up and tryin to bitch cause their hair is fake. It's totally stupid.

  15. 15

I think women should put on fierce eye shadow and go enter the tranny pageants this way when they tell you that you aren't able to compete you can call Gloria Allred citing discrimination. SMH This whole thing made me lose respect for the Tranny community. STAY IN YOUR LANE!!!!!!!!!

I don't agree with allow Jenna to compete in the pageant. It is for women… the other women I believe are not allow to have cosmetic surgery such as breast enhancements, therefore why is Jenna allow to have enhancement surgery. She may be a women now but she was born a man…she should not be allow to be in the pageant.

  17. 17

Fine, I accept that he is legally a woman, but really this douche-bag is just a fame whore! Man or woman, he/she is just turning everything into a side show for his own benefit. It will be a few days until he/she announces a reality show or a new album.

  18. 18

if i were a guy i'd totally hit that.

who gives a rat's ass about this??????

Im not against homosexuals or other-sexuals, etc. But i respect the integrity of the Ms Universe Pageant until this incident happened. If transgendered people are allowed to join for contest meant for females, we might as well let ANYONE join in. Invite anyone at all, as well as MEN, etc. And see how chaotic it can be? WHy not transgendered people have their own pageants or make one, if they dont already have one? It's not about gender-hating here. But even males and females have their own pageants for years and were never together. It's sacriledge.

I am actually really torn on this whole situation. I have a couple of transgender friends and I know how much they struggle with the whole man/woman title and what they should be called so I get that its a very sensitive issue. That being said, if the rules clearly state that they have to be natural with no surgical enhancements (I honestly don't know the rules off hand so it's an if) it doesn't seem fair to have them compete against naturally born girls that haven't had any help. I mean, her boobs are a hell of a lot nicer than mine but mine are real so it's hard to compete.

I think the only solution would be to change rules entirely so that everyone is allowed to have enhancement surgery to make it fair. Or to start a new pageant, that isn't for "transgender" (it's hardly fair to segregate them like that) but that has the rule in place from the start that girls with less than real bodies can enter.
