50 Shades Of Grey Whips And Slays In Sales!

El James 50 Shades Sales

People just can’t get enough of their Twilight porn Fifty Shades!

E L James’ steamy, erotic novel Fifty Shades Of Grey has officially hit TEN MILLION in sales!!!

That shiz CRAY!

The book has only been on shelves for SIX weeks and has already outsold The Hunger Games…making it the best-selling book (so far) of 2012! E L also has two more books published in the trilogy, Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed!

Anthony Chirico, president of Knopf Doubleday Publishing Group said:

“The sales velocity for Fifty Shades of Grey is unprecedented, with reader demand still growing. BookScan data indicates that the trilogy has captured 25 percent of the adult fiction market in recent weeks. As we head into the heart of the summer reading season, sales are likely to continue exceeding even our most optimistic forecasts.”

We’re guessing that everywhere we turn this summer — whether on the plane or on the beach — we’ll see people sneaking a read! Ha!

However, the demand for the bondage and S&M-filled 50 Shades doesn’t stop at just book sales — Universal and Focus Features recently put down $5 mil for movie rights!

We have a feeling this is JUST the beginning for Christian Grey…!

Pretty pathetic for plagiarized work. Tarasueme should be getting all the credit and definitely the $$$.

I am half way through it, and it is starting to be a bore. The writing is just ok, I feel no empathy or attachment to the characters, and even the sex scenes are starting to be repetitive. I won't be getting part 2 and 3.

Reminds me alot of "The Story of O" but with less objectification.

I read the first chapter and tossed the book in the trash. Cliched writing and boring. So sad that people making fun of this book has made it a best seller. This woman can't write and she even admits it.

I will never understand how people can read such poorly written books or why they get made into movies.

BEST BOOK EVER! To whoever wrote that this book is only successful or whatever because it's a joke: YOU'RE A JOKE! This book is successful because she wrote an brilliantly captivating book. I couldn't put these books down. And I was devastated when I finished reading them all just because I wish there were more! The story is more than compelling, it's obsession-worthy. I'm sure people were making nasty comments about Salinger when he wrote the Cather in the Rye. But your nasty comments don't change the fact that this is the book of our MILLENNIUM! Christian Grey and Ana Steele forever! :D :D :D

That would be "Catcher in the Rye", dear literary critic.

Damn, when the movie premiers I want to view it in a state of the art IMAX with vibrating seats and shackles on the arm rests. AND please do not cast Robert Pattenson!

Whoever is critisizing thos book is insane they obviously haven't read far enough into it to get a true concept of what the book is about!!!

Re: rosebud99 – I felt the same way (as did a lot of other ppl after reading the first book) but my OCD with finishing something once I start forced me to finish the trilogy, and it does get better. the second book is my favorite.

why are people actually buying this when they could just google 'master of the universe twilight fanfiction" and read it online for free? it's the exact same, except the names… its really not worth the money

These books are very captivating and addicting! Can't wait to see who will play the beloved Christian Grey on the big screen.

You know what they say, Sex sells. And now more than ever we live in an extremely oversexualised culture. It's pathetic really. The Relationship in the book is so awful, and yet it's ok cause the sex is so "amazing" (actually its repetitive and absurd most of the time). It's the end of the world as we know it.

Guilty of finishing the series in 4 days…easy read. Sad how low the quality of our books are becoming… I give the book a low B …good story concept but lacking eloquence in the delivery..very mediocre writing style…repetitive. Ill admit that the first sex scenes still made me horny…but constant repetition of it and a lack of substance to the writing really took away from the quality of the book.. The only thing maintaining my interest was my curiosity to how the relationship would develop
