Michael McKean Struck By Car! Rushed To Hospital In Critical Condition!

Srsly people, watch where you're goin!!

This is Spinal Tap star Michael McKean was walking along the Upper West Side of Manhattan Tuesday when a car hit him… HARD!!

If you don't know him from the classic cult film, you probably know him as Lenny from Laverne and Shirley. The people who hit him, however, know him as one of the biggest driving lessons of their life!

The 64-year-old actor was found bleeding from his head after the incident occurred on W. 86th St. and Broadway right before 3pm. As soon as the ambulance arrived, they loaded him up and went to St. Luke's Hospital where his critical condition was upgraded to stable. Phew!!

His publicist notes he was on his way to a performance, stating:

He’ll be okay, hopefully he’ll be fine. It’s pretty devastating. It’s the first time he will have ever missed a curtain in his entire life. He’s never missed stage, screens in film or television. His understudy has never gone on in 40-plus years.

Michael's wife, Annette O'Toole, flew in from El Lay immediately. Awww..

Good to know he's gonna be all right!! We love big cities but this is definitely a con of 'em!!

Poor guy. He's a great actor/singer/writer… Glad he's not only remembered as "Lenny". Loved him in "Best in Show", "A Mighty Wind" and "Curb Your Enthusiasm".

Loved him (and the rest of the cast) in Best in Show, such a funny movie. Wish the director would make another movie like that and I might spend my limited dollars.
