Pan Am May Get A Second Season…

pan am

… On the Internet!

ABC dropped the 60s-inspired drama after its very first season — but the show might not be over yet!

Sony (who owns Pan Am) has been shopping the show around, and Amazon is thinking of buying.

Apparently, Amazon wants to get into the streaming media business, like Hulu and Netflix, and are considering making Pan Am their first original show.

It's not a bad idea. Everyone has a TV boner over Netflix's new season of Arrested Development, and picking up canceled broadcast series, NBC’s Friday Night Lights and FX’s Damages, was how DirecTV entered the original series game.

BUUUT, nether company has made an official announcement about the deal.

For now, we're not getting our hopes up.

I got pretty interested in Pan Am so I was a little disappointed when it got canceled. I don't know what the point of putting it on the internet would be, though.

Amazon if you're reading this….DO IT DO IT NOW! I watched that show on Amazon.com anyway because it contradicted with the time slot for Homeland so I wouldnt think twice about paying the $1.99 per episode!!

Hmmm an interesting trend - soon all that will be left on cable/sat will be reality and singing etc competitions. You will have to have an internet connection to see anything of substance. This will come back to bite the major networks in the butt.
