Transformers 3 Injured Extra Gets HUGE Settlement

Transformers 3 extra

Damn straight she did!

The poor Transformers 3 extra that was left paralyzed after a HORRIBLE stunt accident, is now millionaire!

Last fall the 24-year-old extra, Gabriela Cedillo, sued Paramount Pictures and DreamWorks Studios after a cable pulling a stunt car she was riding in snapped, broke through the windshield, and hit her in the head.

Today, Cedillo and the studio have officially reached a settlement for…. $18.5 million!!

There is NO sum of money would be an even exchange for the lost of mobility in your left side, but this money will take care of her!!

Disgusting. She'll end up with 7 million, maybe. Her life is worth less than the fucking actors salary in the movie. Lebeouf et al should all chip in a million a piece. Scum bags.

The tax man and the lawyers will take at least half of it. She'll be lucky if she has enough left over after they get their hands on it, to pay her medical bills and support herself for the years to come.

Adg100, what the hell do any of the actors in the movie have to do with the accident?

    God, you're an idiot!

that's the risk you take being a stunt person

It is truly awful that this happened to her, but I'm actually surprised she's getting anything. She's a STUNT person- the only reason she has a job is because the STUNTS that she is performing are too dangerous for the average person. She signed up for this job knowing full well that there is an inherent risk in it.

@angebot, @Michaela She was an extra IN a stunt - she was NOT a stunt woman. She was paid an extra $25 to drive her own car down a road. She had no idea of the 'risks' and wasn't paid for them.

Also other news stories say they tried not to even help with the initial $350,000 medical bill… Hate to bring this up … but in the UK there wouldn't have been a possibility of not getting her medical bills paid. She'd have been sorted out first regardless and afterwards the courts would have ruled the prod company or insurers compensate her adequately, for life care if needed. Despite other arguments Iv heard the US health system does seem screwed up…

also she didn't sue, her family did, and she didn't reach a settlement … the point being she's no longer capable to sue or reach a settlement by herself.
