Hunger Games Games Gets The Twilight Name Treatment

| Filed under: Film FlickersTwilightHunger Games

Catching Fire renamed The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

Surprise, surprise!

It's official! Lionsgate is changing the name of Catching Fire to…. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

Now everyone will know Catching Fire is part of the Hunger Games series — and not a documentary about Chlamydia! LOL!

As Twi-hards will remember, Summit did the same rebranding with the Twilight films. Each one starts with The Twilight Saga.

So much for being NOTHING like Twilight, huh?

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will start production in August and will be released November 22, 2013.

Can't come soon enough, if you ask us!

It is not like Twilight at all. Just because they use the same movie title method doesn't make them alike. Its just so people will recognize its a sequel. Basic marketing.

What a silly boring thing to try and create an article about. MOST movies do this, the Harry Potter films have done it with all their movies! It just makes sense for god sake! With all the money you make out you have why don't you hire someone who can write a decent article, not make up a load of crap.

Re: Wonderland. – actually the harry potter books were all called 'Harry Potter and…' so the movies were named correctly based on the name of the books.
They haven't done this to the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series. Each movie is named for the book. I guess the studio thinks its target audience will be confused o.O
