IBM Bans Siri To Prevent Robot Apocalypse Privacy Leaks
Siri told us she was our friend!?
IBM issued an employee-wide decree Wednesday, Siri enabled devices are NOT permitted to interact with any campus or company networks!!
Contrary to what Samuel L. Jackson and Jooey Zooey Deschanel might have you believe, IBM management fears Apple’s might be collecting data on more than just organic mushroom markets.
The iPhone4 Software License Agreement states:
“When you use Siri or Dictation, the things you say will be recorded and sent to Apple in order to convert what you say into text and, for Siri, to also process your requests… All of this data is used to help Siri and Dictation understand you better and recognize what you say.”
So you’re telling us Apple’s main servers compile lists of visited websites, phone numbers of our contacts, and even all the lewd pictures on our phones??
Ruh-roh!! Those privacy concerns do sound valid!
When someone hacks the Apple servers the machines become sentient, they’re going to have a looooot of dirt on us!!
