Wow! We've been so effing excited with Prometheus that we'd forgotten that this is in the works!
And thank goodness! This news has us EFFING psyched!
While Ridley Scott has long been teasing a sequel to Blade Runner, the director has now confirmed new details on the project, and revealed that the sci-fi flick will be set "some years after the first film concluded" and that the original's co-writer Hampton Fancher is involved in the follow-up!
Producers Andrew Kosovoe and Broderick Johnson reveal:
"It is a perfect opportunity to reunite Ridley with Hampton on this new project - one in fact inspired by their own personal collaboration [and] a classic of cinema if there ever was one."
And despite previous reports, guess who else may be re-appearing for round two?!
"I don't think it'll be Harrison [starring]. But I've got to have him in it somewhere. That'd be amusing."
It'd me MORE than amusing! It would be AWESOME!
Plus, a nice homage to the original, wouldn't you say?
But either way, we are getting PUMPED for this! How about U??
