Anne Hathaway's Dream Is Dying In Les Miserables Trailer!

| Filed under: Music MinuteBroadway BabiesFilm FlickersAnne HathawayPerezTV

AHHHH!!!!

We've teased you with pictures and cheeky on-set info, and NOW…

The first trailer for Tom Hooper's film adaptation of Les Miserables is FINALLY here is all it's miserable glory!

The trailer weaves clips with Anne Hathaway as Fantine's haunting rendition of I Dreamed A Dream, and we def think Hooper's Les Mis looks visually masterful and just as emotionally effecting as it's theater cousin!

Get drawn into battle (above) and hold on to your dreams… as least until the movie's release this Christmas season!

I'm gonna see this movie because it DOESN"T have Taylor Swift in it!!! Can you imagine what would have happened if she was in it? Ugh! This is going to be Ann Hathaway's year. Catwoman and Fantine.

"And the Academy Award goes to…ANNE HATHAWAY FOR LES MISERABLE"… maybe? The girl is seriously talented, and I think this will be her year. She looks absolutely amazing in this film and I cannot wait to see it. Love emotional musicals.

Pretty better than the first clip you posted here. Still nowhere near women like Lea Salonga or Elaine Page, but people can't expect Anne to be as good as them, since she is mostly a actress and not a singer.

Anyways, I agree with the other comments…this is her year.

Well, having seen a few productions of Les Mis, I can tell you it's definitely not one of the best versions I've heard of "I dreamed a dream", but people have pointed out she's an actress, not a singer. I agree though, thank goodness Taylor Swift didn't get a part in this movie!

just because the tone of the film version goes for a quieter, nuanced approach rather than a big belting Broadway delivery, doesn't mean the singer can't sing.

Re: robinstar – i agree with that observation because this adaptation has to be more realistic. im so impressed with anne, definitely a best actress contender to look out for!
