Christopher Nolan Knew The Ending To The Dark Knight Rises Before Batman Begins!

| Filed under: Film FlickersChristian Bale

Christopher Nolan planned dark knight rises ending years ago

Christopher Nolan gave fans a chance to watch the first few minutes of The Dark Knight Rises last December in IMAX theaters, but it sounds like the LAST few minutes are going to blow us away.

It turns out that the director knew the ending to his Batman trilogy before he even began filming Batman Begins.

Screenwriter David S. Goyer revealed in a recent interview that the last scene in the upcoming movie is one he and Nolan envisioned YEARS ago, explaining:

“The final scene of The Dark Knight Rises is exactly [the] scene we talked about [when Christopher Nolan and I started the trilogy with Batman Begins]. It remained completely unchanged. We both knew in our hearts that we were onto something special. I have to tell you, having finally seen everything strung together a little while ago and seeing that scene, I got a complete lump in my throat.”

There have been rumors that Nolan MIGHT have the ballz to kill off Bruce Wayne at the end of the trilogy, which would certainly cause "a complete lump" in our throats. However, Christian Bale has already said he'd consider doing a fourth film if his fearless director was on board too.

Hmm…whatever is going down in that last scene, we don't think it's Batman's dead body.

What would U like to see happen at the end of The Dark Knight Rises?

Nope. This is incorrect. The first thing they came up with about The Dark Knight Rises was the ending, but only before they started production on -that- film. They didn't even know that they were going to make a trilogy when they started making Batman Begins.

Yet again another badly reported story by someone getting duped by the overzealous media looking for a non story.

Go to Batman-on-film if you want actual journalism about the character. Click on the link provided for the right info on this story.

He didn't even know he was going to return to do a second film, but Goyer knew he would (hence him setting up the Joker at the end of BEGINS) so HE may have known how he'd like to end it.

My money is on Alfred dying.

    I've got some theories.

Those yahuts were developing the story way back when it was called Batman: Intimidation Game. Nolans whole film "career" has been built on the Batman story arc, conditioning viewers just for this franchise.

the ending should show alfred asking "where to now sir"?, with bruce replying "the circus"!, which would emply the 8-year-old dick grayson(aka robin) will be in the next film, which will not be directed by chris nolan.
