Jeremy Renner Kicks Major Butt In The Latest Trailer For The Bourne Legacy
Matt Damon may have escaped Treadstone's clutches, but the corrupt government organization has recruited a newer and better model in the form of Jeremy Renner.
Much like Jason Bourne though, he doesn't like it when his superiors try to kill him either.
The newest trailer for The Bourne Legacy is here (above) and it looks intense, to say the least. It gives us a little more insight into the plot of the sequel and hints that the hero from the first three films is still stirring up trouble for the program.
In order to avoid being exposed to the public, Edward Norton gives the order to eliminate every Treadstone agent operating in the field, but newcomer Renner isn't going down without a fight.

It's not so much that Jason Bourne is still stirring up trouble, so much as that he stirred up trouble at the end of the 3rd Bourne movie and Legacy is about the aftereffects of what he's done. Hence "legacy."
I loved Matt Damon as Jason Bourne but I think it's now inevitable that I'm going to love Jeremy Renner even more as Aaron Cross. I think Jason's story was pretty much done in the third movie. This actually opens it up in a more interesting way if they want to have him join Jeremy at some point.
