Les Miserables Blood-Stained Poster Makes Us Miserable!

Eeee! Such deep, dark crimson… positively blood-curdling!

While not as exciting as the recently revealed trailer for Tom Hooper's Les Miserables featuring Anne Hathaway as Fantine in a heart-wrenching performance of I Dreamed A Dream, the OFFICIAL Les Mis poster (above) has also been released!

The poster is emblazoned with the production's signature drawing of a child, only this time up close and personal!

It's effective, but we would have liked to see something a little more creative than this, Hoops.

You're no judge of creativity considering the fact that you copy and paste virtually everything not about you on your site and your shitty taste in talent (Sliimy, KG, your boy band project, and your shitty kids' book, just to name a few of your typical disasters). So shut up, pansy.

Les Mis is one of my fave musicals but I am very nervous and excited for this movie! Les Mis is just so powerful and I just am not sure about casting so many hollywood people in it. Look at the 25th anniversary concert, everyone had incredible voices that were so powerful and almost operatic (minus Nick Jonas, there is a clear difference between pop performers and theatrical singer and he should stick with what he knows, maybe try something along the lines of Mamma Mia) I just do not trust Russel Crowe and Hugh Jackman, I know they can both sing but not nearly as incredible as Alfie Bowe who played Valjean on stage. I dont think they can carry these roles. Anne Hathaway is okay but I dont like that they are focusing so much on her from what I've seen in the trailer.
I am disappointed that no one seems to really be talking about Samantha Barks. She is incredible and I'm pretty sure the only one in the main cast with any experience with this show on the stage. She is much more than just a reality star as you mentioned earlier. Perez, you should give this girl more buzz instead of focusing on the mediocre voices in the movie that are already big stars.

I think a play of the book set in 1944 Germany with Javert as a Gestapo, Cosette as a little Jewish girl, with Valjean still a common thief would be a win.

Isn't this the same art used for the play…

I don't mind them using the iconic Cosette image, I just hope they make some different posters with a bit more to them. I've seen some really excellent fan-made ones, so surely they they can come up with something.
