Stallone facing off against De Niro in grudge match

This news should make ANY movie fans day!

Sylvester Stallone is reportedly in talks to go toe-to-toe in the boxing ring against Robert De Niro in the Warner Bros. comedy Grudge Match.

The film, which was written by Entourage creator Doug Ellin, follows two retired boxers who return to the ring to duke it out for one final — you guessed it — grudge match!

We've seen and LOVE De Niro's comedic range, but it will be super exciting to see Stallone move away from his action star image and finally accept that he's an old man. LOL!

Sources say the movie isn't officially green-lit by the studio, BUT Stallone's rep has said he's considering the role AND the director of Tommy Boy has already signed on to direct!

We're crossing our fingers that this one gets made because we want to see if Stallone's comedic timing has improved since Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot. Ha!

But srsly, Rocky vs. Raging Bull? That's box office gold!

I understand this is just MY Opinion, apparently the marketing people believe is a winning combination…
Sheesh- Sylvester S….give it a rest. You were never a boxer, just one on t.v. Bobby D. has grown and become a formidable actor; you on the other hand are lost in a Rambo/Rocky time warp where you have to keep trying to out Mas-Macho yourself.
Most of these young people (the new demographics) really don't give a rat's about you cleansing a wound by igniting gunpowder on it (in the faux cinema way).
You have done some things that were comedic- which even Arnold has had to learn to come to grips with. Your time as an action star is passed.

I wouldn't buy (and haven't ) Rambo and most of his others in the cheap bin at the discount stores. Time to re-invent yourself on a real-time human level…your time in the ring (yes the fake movie kind) is over, hang up the gloves.
