Shailene Woodley Wins Best Breakthrough Performance At The MTV Movie Awards!

| Filed under: MTV Movie & TV AwardsLiam HemsworthRooney MaraMelissa McCarthy

We really thought all of these contenders were worthy, but we've gotta hand it to Shailene Woodley!

Gurlfriend DESERVED this one after her Oscar snub!

That's right, the young actress is taking home the 2012 MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Performance for her incredibly powerful role in The Descendants, and during her absolutely charming acceptance speech, thanked the beauty of Hawaii and how appreciative she was to spend time there for the shoot!

Congratulations, gurl!

With out a doubt she had one of the biggest break out performance of the past year if not the biggest. She was wonderful in the Descendents. If you ever watch her on The Secret Life of Teenagers. She is the only one on that show that can act. Her costars are horrible. The guy that plays her boyfriend Ricky is embarrassingly bad. One of the worst actors in Tv history. Ben is pretty bad also.

^ you obviously did not see Rooney Mara in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. THAT is a breakthrough performance.

Re: violethill – then you clearly didnt see the original noomi rapace in the same role. rooney mara was laughable compared to the REAL girl with the dragon tattoo. thats why she hasnt won anything because she isnt the original or even fucking close to it.

Um, I'm sorry but did you just say Oscar snub? Are you suggesting that she's a better actress then Meryl Streep? She did a good job, but she definitely shouldn't have been nominated for an Oscar.

Re: d20beckham – I definitely disagree. Rooney Mara was amazing! Noomi Rapace did a good job as well, but Rooney killed it.

With an economy in the shitter, endless wars and the looming surveillance state I can't for the life of me imagine why any of you give a farthing about this crap.
