Check Out Russell Brand's Opening Monologue From The 2012 MTV Movie Awards HERE!
Just what we expected…
Russell Brand returned to his MTV hosting mantle as he MC'd the 2012 MTV Movie Awards.
While the crowd enjoyed a few chuckles, Russell touched on the predictable.
He did get one thing HIGHlariously right, however:
"TWILIGHT! HUNGER GAMES! THESE WORDS GENERATE GOOD WILL!"
Check out his opening monologue for yourself (above)!

Hilarious! Well played Russell, well played.
omg russell is sooo funny i love him <3 he's like a cute/ adorable jesus with an eccentric personality lol
Russ, thanks for always being yourself in the face of adversity. You're a huge inspiration. If you see this (and I know you will, what with your always googling yourself and whatnot) thank you for giving me the confidence to live in my own light =)
I like russell, his normal standup while on being on tour is good..this was painfully bad.
far out this was not funny at all…just made me cringe the entire time…geez…seriously how did he become famous…i thought there was more to comedy than being obnoxious and saying things purely for shock value..
I love him so much! He did a great job. And what he said about Katy Perry was NOTHING. Why so much hate from her immature fans? When it was announced that he was hosting again those awards we all thought about being akward because he met Katy there. And he mentioned it! What's the problem? TEAM RUSSELL!
I love this guy!
russ im waiting for my turn

I like Russell, he is a cutie but in all honestly not all that funny too cheeky too canned & rehearsed.
I'm not a fan of his but I think he was good yesterday. But please Kim and Kanye don't do a fucking sex tape. that will be the most disgusting think I've seen in my life…
Everything about this moron is disgusting, from his appearance to his vulgar, insulting, outrageous attempt at comedy. He laughed at himself like he was the funniest person alive (some of the audience members didn't seem to find him funny). He was the worst host on any awards show ever.
Ol'Rus is one of our best british exports. The funny thing is most of his jokes aren't that shocking over here in England but it's so funny watching americans get all mental about it. I thought he was fairly tame, he could have done a lot worse but i thought he was hilarious as always. Good to see an essex boy do good, come home soon Russell, hampstead isn't the same without you!
