Christian Bale Cuts Onions Gets Emotional Over Heath Ledger At MTV Movie Awards
Aww. Let's hug it out!
After Christian Bale’s emotional break down at the MTV Movie Awards last night, some critics are asking “why so serious?”
To hype up the audience for The Dark Knight Rises, MTV edited together a montage of the first two Batman films and played it while Bale, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Gary Oldman were all on stage.
Included were several scenes of Heath Ledger’s posthumous portrayal of The Joker.
Bale was visibly choked up after viewing the stirring footage, even though it's been over four years since his friend and co-star passed away.
Batman smiled at the large crowd gathered at the Gibson Amphitheater and told them:
“It’s great to remember Heath”
We applaud Bale for having the courage to open up to millions of viewers — we much prefer his softer side to the one we saw back during those Terminator tirade days, LOLz!!
And, while we're on the subject, the new trailer for TDKR is totally awesome!

And just as the bio that makes him look like an asshole comes out- not weird at all. The book that, among other things claims he was jealous he didn't get recognized for his great performance when TDK became "nothing more than a public wake."

Oh grow up…..Bale and Ledger were mates and hung out off set. They had girls around the same age. You're really going to act ten years old and comment on his feeling emotional? Have you ever spoken before a crowd? It can be daunting. And anyone who continues to think anything you've read in the press or online about his 'temper' is true needs to get a life. and maybe start reading books, not the enquirer. and I must add…..The book by Harry Cheung is nothing more than the ramblings of a schizophrenic stalker.
