Back when we heard these two called it quits, we thought they decided to play the 'friends with benefits' card since we'd seen 'em together since.

According to one source, Amanda Seyfried was too clingy for Josh Hartnett:
"She's kind of a super clingy girlfriend and he doesn't want that. He really likes his space and she wasn't happy about that. [But they're just] cooling down. They might hook up when she's back in town. He thinks she's fun and interesting."
