Sir Elton John Is The Queen’s Main Diamond!

| Filed under: AnglophiliaMusic MinuteRoyals RoyceElton JohnKate MiddletonPerezTV

Misty eyed, we present to you Sir. Elton John's electrifying performance from Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee Concert.

The Rocket Man launched his set with I'm Still Standing, then serenaded with Your Song, and finished off by leading 18,000 jubilant onlookers in a sing along to classic Crocodile Rock.

Let Elton inflate your soul (above)!

Unsprisingly, Sir. Elton was a highlight of the night's MANY stellar acts… he even got Prince William and Princess Catherine to shimmy their shoulders and SING!

Elton John is a great entertainer. He's done many songs that I like a lot. What I don't like is the fact that he's become a bitter, nasty, whining, opinionated old queen. He has so much power to be and do good, and he throws it away by being so cranky and mean-spirited, and that always disappoints me. Elton has always had a touch of the pompous ass about him, but he's gotten so much worse the last several years that I've pretty much stopped listening to him and his music; his crappy attitude has ruined it for me. He needs to mellow out, mind his own business, and stop being such a bitch. I want the old Elton back!

I wish I could have been there that evening. Amazing indeed!

Re: La Garse – Please do not criticize. Older people have more experience that they have to swallow…

Re: Happy Sonja – I'm one of those older people, sweetheart, so do us both a favor and don't assume or criticize me. You know absolutely nothing, and you've accomplished nothing with your comment to me except exposing your own tremendous ignorance. Congratulations. So while you're swallowing the fact that you've just made a fool out of yourself, I'm going to go swallow some of my own life experience.

I think he sounds terrible….I really do..I have seen him twice in concert..and I realize it is on my computer…..but he sounds like his voice has gone downhill…big time….I actually find it very sad…

Elton is sounding REALLY REALLY rough these days - granted he had pneumonia before the queen's concert, but he's decided it's no longer necessary to pronounce words..he'd dropped some songs as much as a full fifth so he can hit some of the notes. He sounds like a really bad Catskill's resort version of himself. It's pretty pathetic - there's a time to just hang it up. Paul McCartney ditto - voice is wrecked, it's really tough to listen to him these days.

Re: dryan1971 – That is unnecessary - and untrue. He is not and will never be a piece of **** no matter how rough his voice is now - he's given us a bunch of great music. What have YOU contributed to society? Didn't think so…

Re: Blough Mee (China) – he was awful! Regretfully every performance was absolutely dreadful! I had to fast forward through each of them… I enjoyed katie Couric and Prince Charles speaking - other than that, I couldn't bear to listen to the entertainers. Man, they are all over-rated!
