Grace Jones Is A Slave To The Rhythm Hula-Hooping At The Diamond Jubilee!

| Filed under: AnglophiliaMusic MinuteRoyals RoyceSuper SeniorsWacky, Tacky & True

Out of all the AMAZING performances during last night's Diamond Jubilee concert in London, which celebrated Queen Elizabeth II becoming the second British monarch to reach the 60-year landmark, we have to say that THIS was certainly the most EYE-CATCHING!

But what else would you expect from Grace Jones?!

Ch-ch-check out the 64-year-old showing us all how it's done with her BADASS performance of Slave To The Rhythm, during which she, herself, was a slave to the rhythm of a hula-hoop…which she kept moving the ENTIRETY of the song (above)!

Yeah. Again, in case you forgot: this woman is 64!

Absolutely incredible!

Man, we hate to take any of her majesty's thunder away from her on such a momentous occasion, but we just have to:

All hail the QUEEN Grace Jones! Ha!

bow down before TRUE ROYALTY, bitches! Grace Jones can swat Madonna AND Gaga away with the mere flick of her finger!

The one and ONLY time I may agree with you….Grace Jones…wow !

It seems like this concert was for the people, not the queen. There was some good stuff (not Cheryl Cole), but it doesn't seem like it would be what the queen would like. I wonder if anyone thought about what she would like to do for her birthday?

Re: rosebud99 – Usually you are a voice of reason but you missed the point here. Of course the concert was for the people, the Queen knows it and the people know it. That's the whole point. To celebrate as a nation. The Queen knows what people like and she delivers. Also it raises money for the Royal Family, who make their money and live their lifestyle thanks to the taxpayer, so it's a thank you for that too. And of course the Queen did things that she would like as well, this is the PUBLIC celebration, hence the catering to the PUBLIC. You don't need to try and analyse everything Rosebud.

Re: rosebud99 – Believe me.. she's doing FINE.
As for the concert: reminds me of the classic concept of the emperor offering the Romans games and sacrifices in the Colosseum : Panem et Circenses.

As for Grace Jones: 64 years old and those legs and that sense of style and humor?
Please tell me where to sign to make sure I can have it too..
    God save Queen Grace!

Re: Mike – Sad that you're so clueless. Grace Jones came first, before caca was a zygote. Even bjork came first.

Madonna blazed her own path and the others all followed. She's in a category by herself as QUEEN.

I have always been a fan. And have seen Ms. Grace LIVE three times, each time she was ridiculously late, but always worth it! BUT THIS PERFORMANCE MS. JONES IS RIGHT ON TIME
