Kylie Minogue & Ed Sheeran's Royal Encounter

| Filed under: AnglophiliaMusic MinuteRoyals RoyceAustraliasticKylie MinogueEd Sheeran

An Aussie, an Englishman and The Queen of the Brits walk into a bar backstage…

And nothing funny happens!

But Ed Sheeran did get to meet Her Royal Highness for the first time at the Queen's Diamond Jubilee concert (above).

Ed and Kylie Minogue were two of the many musical acts who serenaded 18,000 jubilant Brits outside Buckingham Palace Monday night. It was an emotional spectacle to say the least!

We wonder what the three enigmatic personalities discussed? A debate on Falkland Island occupation, perhaps?

It is an INSULT.. To refer to the Queen as Her Royal HIghness… She is referred to as HER MAJESTY!!!

Who is the moron who writes this, Sean Penn? "Falkland Island occupation"?
How about Hawaii occupation? The Falkland Islands (with an 's', you idiot) are not occupied. Occupation is when you occupy a land in spite of resistance from the local population. Last time we checked, the inhabitants of the Falkland Islands have voted democratically that they want to remain and continue to be a self governing British territory. If the locals din't want that, the British government would have been gladly out of there decades ago. They are there because the Falkland Islands decided they want to be British.

"Falkland Island [sic] occupation"?. Erm maybe do some journalistic research first Perez…it's not occupation, it's an archipelago owned by the UK and recognised by 99% of countries around the world. It was INVADED by Argentina in the 80s, a war which they lost and scarred them sorely but have been using as propaganda for each of their corrupt ailing governments ever since. Los malvinas no son argentinos…

Re: Adam – Please don't discrimniate all people of Hispanic origin! If they, especially those from Argentina, have a different cultural pespective on historical events, it will always be a British occupation. In the 21th century nobody should just look at anything just from their own narrow individual perspective. As human beings we are too smart to be that dumb.

Actually Perez, Kylie escorted the Prince of Wales and the Dutchess of Cornwall onto the stage after the show had finished, and as the biggest UK based global artist and an O.B.E. she was then given the privalage of introducing Her Majesty to all of the artists backstage.
She did a phenomenal set at the concert btw, and she was allowed nearly twice as long as all of the previous artists. She was placed towards the end with the other legends… Sir Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Sir Paul MacCartney, etc.

Re: bgbreakdown – No problem. There's are 2 videos on YouTube with her introducing HM, and of her escorting Prince Charles at the end.
