2012 is halfway through, so naturally, people are preparing for the end of days.
In an effort to capitalize off of people who believe the Maya calendar points to December 21 as the day this planet goes to hell, Spike TV has turned people's irrational fears into a reality television show!
Last Family on Earth will feature families competing against other families for a spot in a state-of-the-art underground Vivos bunker, which has been fortified to withstand any doomsday scenario society has thought of (except maybe the Rapture).
Producers recruited their cast from 15% of the earth's population who believe — unlike all those other idiots who have gotten it wrong in the past — that the world is most definitely ending this year.
Contestants will be judged by a panel of three survivalist-experts based on their endurance, physical skills, leadership abilities, integrity and character.
Television viewers may get a good giggle out of watching paranoid families wasting their time to prepare for something that isn't going to happen. However, they'll all be totally jealous if this end of the world prophecy actually pans out!
Unfortunately for whoever is lucky enough to win Last Family On Earth, archaeologists have just recently discovered wall writings from the ancient society featuring "calendars that go well beyond 2012."
Ah! What a bummer! LOL!
