Steven Spielberg has done it again!
Okay, he actually did it a while ago, but we think Tiny Toon Adventures is one of the greatest things the director has ever spawned upon this Earth.
After releasing the first season of the animated show in 2009, Warner Bros. has decided to FINALLY release the straight-to-video movie from the series, Tiny Toon Adventures - How I Spent My Vacation.
The 79-minute movie was released on VHS in 1992 before being cut up into individual episodes, but now we can all own the masterpiece in its entirety for just $19.97 on August 14. If you don't remember what Bugs, Babs and the rest of the Toons did that fateful summer, here's the synopsis:
School's out for summer, and it's vacation time for the Tiny Toons gang from Acme Looniversity! Babs and Buster Bunny's vacation starts with a good old fun-in-the-sun squirt-gun fight! Once the flood gates are opened (and all of Acme Acres is under water!), they are swept away on a summer adventure of a lifetime. Plucky joins Hampton J. Pig and family for a road trip to none other than Happy World Land - the greatest theme park this side of the globe! From the endless annoyances of Hampton's family to escaped convict hitchhikers, Plucky is in for one long and very hot summer! Elmyra is in wild animal bliss as she visits a drive-through nature park. Will the animals survive her unique brand of affection? Join the summertime fun with all of your favorite Looniversity Toons in this feature-length riot, on DVD for the first time!
Oh childhood! So sweet. So short. So good!
We miss it dearly, but we know there is no going back. At least we can own another animated classic so when we're lecturing our kids on the many reasons why "our day" was better than theirs, we'll have evidence to prove it.
