Our latest "Can YOU Sing?" competition, with selection Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen, got more entries than any other "Can YOU Sing?" before!
We had submissions from all over the world! It was so awesome watching all of them! Thank you to everyone who entered!
Congratulations to our first place winner Garry Caprani, who does so much with just two strings and a beautiful voice!
His arrangement is gorgeous! His voice is like honey! This is such a homerun! It reminds us a bit of Ed Sheeran meets John Mayer. Check it out above!
And congrats to Caroline Burns, who came in second place! She looks to be about 11 or 12 years old and is sooooo talented! And, just by her age alone, she turned the tune into a playful song for a first crush. The spirit of that is very similar to what the more mature original version is all about.
We all feel so young and have butterflies in our stomach when we meet someone we like!
Caroline has a great voice AND great piano playing skills AND she sells the song! Such a natural performer! Lover her! Check it out below!
Watch all the honorable mentions…. after the jump! Watch all the honorable mentions…. after the jump! Watch all the honorable mentions…. after the jump! Watch all the honorable mentions…. after the jump! Watch all the honorable mentions…. after the jump!
Alli Walker is boss!!! She totally whipped out some bagpipes and started playing it for her entry! And it sounds soooo good with her take on the song! We're also slightly obsessed with her fierce makeup and diva-lighting! Win all-around! Ha! Check out her cover below!
Yes, Jenna Bryson made her video dressed as Snow White. Gangsta!!!!!! What a clever way to get noticed! And, thankfully, she wasn't all gimmick. She delivered a great rendition to back it up! Check it out below!
Props to Vice Vega for their clever cover - done exclusively on an iPad! Check it out below!
Grace Downs needs to audition for The Voice UK because she has such a great voice! Singing to a track, her entry could have easily come across as karaoke. Instead, her gorgeous voice makes this come alive and it is one of our honorable mentions! Love it! Check it out below!
And, finally, Bryan Di Maio and his friends really made us laugh with their cover! They recreated the video! Only…. well, you have to watch! Check it out below!
How sad and disturbing if this allegation is true.
According to Cathriona White's friends, her estranged biological mother, Brigid Sweetman, called her a "failure" on her birthday --just days before she ultimately committed suicide.
Wow, it's clear Cat was under a lot of stress before her death. Not only did Jim Carreybreak up with her, but she also was struggling with her mother's heartbreaking comment along with the anniversary of her father's death from brain cancer.
Not to mention the cruel insult doesn't make sense -- White was an accomplished photographer, makeup artist, and stylist before her death.
