The rumor bees are buzz-buzz-buzzing around El Lay, saying Universal has a burning desire for Angelina Jolie to direct E L James’ steamy sex book!
No waaaay!?!
As amazing as it sounds, there have been zero official offers.
The studios are skirting around the whole thing like a shy 8th Grader trying to ask a girl to the dance, trying to gauge her interest before putting himself out there.
In fact, Jolie's people are confirming she hasn't even publicly discussed the Fifty Shades of Grey possibility.

Jolie OOZES naughty, sexy goodness when she enters a room! Can you imagine how hot sultry things will get with her behind the camera??
If she does agree to direct, do U think Angie should cast Ian Somerhalder or Alexander Skarsgard as the manliest man of them all, Christian Grey?

If they make a movie out of this book, it might be the rare exception where the movie is actually better than the book. I found the writing to be poor. The character development was minimal, and the dialogue was repetitive. I read the first book, but I won't bother with the other two.
Considering she was into more serious topics in her directing debut, one would hope she is smart enough to steer clear of this mind numbing drivel! The books are crap, the movie wil be no better.

Alex or Ian would be fine by me. Ian has the look and intensity but Alex has the height and can be intense and sweet… Both are dead sexy. I'll see it if it's one of those two men. Anyone else, I'll skip it.
PLEASSSSSEEEE no one can be Christian Grey except Alexander Skarsgard. He has the smoldering stare, the looks, the body, everything. I just can't picture anyone else as Christian.

Honey, "fifty shades" ain't shit. If you want some good hot fiction read Ann Rice (A N Roquelare) series of three "Beauty books." Anyone in the know knows that "Fifty Shades" is fun but it is about as far from fact as you can get. Angelina's 15 minutes are almost up.
The only thing she oozes is vag discharge from her STD's . Go figure they would want super slut to direct a sexy movie. She knows every trick there is!
Although Ian and Alex has that dark intense look. I just can't imagine them playing Grey. I think Ian is too short and Alex's look is too old to play a 27 years old Christian Grey. Since watching the Avengers I was squirming in my seat picturing Chris Evans as Christian Grey. I would love for it to be him.

I think the Shades of Grey trilogy is too risqué for a company like Universal Studios. More than two-thirds of the first book alone is sex. How will they portray this? Television stars like Lucy Hale and Alexis Bledel seem too prude for the part of Anastasia Steele, and the same goes with Ian Somerhalder for Christian Grey (can't really say anything for Skarsgard because I haven't watched him in anything). I feel like Universal Studios is going to turn a XXX-like book into a PG-13 or barely R rated movie. A company like Hustler or Penthouse would be more ideal to do this movie.
