Stevie Nicks Remembers The Late Bob Welch

Bob Welch Passing Stevie

After the extremely sad news yesterday of the passing of Fleetwood Mac's guitarist and vocalist, Bob Welch, his former bandmates are speaking out.

Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks expressed her condolences in a statement, saying:

"The death of Bob Welch is devastating…I had many great times with him after Lindsey and I joined Fleetwood Mac. He was an amazing guitar player- he was funny, sweet- and he was smart- I am so very sorry for his family and for the family of Fleetwood Mac- so, so sad…"

Welch was found in his home in Nashville, with a gunshot wound to the chest. He is survived by his wife, who found his body, along with a suicide note.

So incredibly heartbreaking…our thoughts are with his family, friends and fans at this time.

Rest in peace, Bob.

Stevie Knicks: Fame whore desperate to be relevant. If she liked the guy so much, did she stay in touch with him since he left the band? Was she his friend through the years?

Condolences to his family and friends.

La Garse - do you never have anything positive to say?

@ la garse - are you even aware of what your saying? do you know anything about bob welch or stevie nicks!?!
he was a total recluse, he lived in complete seclusion, NOBODY had contact with him, not even Mick Fleetwood.
and as for calling stevie nicks a "fame whore trying to stay relevant" she's not making this comment to earn fame or have her "two cents", she doesn't need to!! shes the Queen of Rock and Roll for christs sake!! Rolling Stones have listed her in the greatest 100 artists of all time, she is the influence behind many of today's "relevant artists" Taylor Swift, John Mayer.. the list goes on. She's written some of the greatest music of all time and is one of the highest selling artists of all time!! And while we're on the subject of being relevant, Glee chose Fleetwood Mac and several of Stevie's song as their only episode to dedicate solely to a band !!
She had a very close relationship with bob in the years just after she and Lindsay moved to Hollywood and found fame with Fleetwood Mac, she played Cal-Jam with him, and was frequently invited as a guest performer at some of his shows.
Stevie cheated death many times throughout her life, and i know how blessed she feels to still be here today singing her music.
You must be one the most Ill-informed musical hacks to grace this entire earth if you think Stevie Nicks had any other motive behind making this statement !!
