It Has Arrived! Watch Fiona Apple's New Music Video Every Single Night!

| Filed under: Music MinuteFiona Apple

This is just WILD!

Although the Sundance Channel will be premiering it on your TV screens tonight at 8pm, you can check out the just-released music video for Fiona Apple's new single Every Single Night, off her upcoming album The Idler Wheel Is Wiser Than the Driver of the Screw and Whipping Cords Will Serve You More Than Ropes Will Ever Do HERE (above)!

And it's far more haunting - and for more BEAUTIFUL - than what we could have ever anticipated!

The color palette alone for this is just incredible!

Combined with some her unique vocals and some truly unique imagery, this is easily one of our faves from the supremely talented singer/songwriter!

What do U think?? Are U feeling new Fiona??

She looks so unhealthily thin that I had a hard time concentrating on the video even though I'm a Fiona fan. She's always been small, but yeesh I dunno here.

  2. 2

It's she kind of old to still be playing up the mentally unstable young girl she use to pretend to be? I mean at some point one should get help and get better. Seems like she is just trying really hard now to come off as strange and weird. I am not buying.
And….she needs a cheese burger and a coke.

I've always been a fan, but this song is horrible. And the video is worse. She looks really unhealthy too.

Imma have to pass on this one. I was a fan in the past but I can't follow here

I want to feed her a couple cheeseburgers and put her in the sun for a few hours..

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I'll have to admit that I did think she looked unhealthy but that's her life, her business. Other than that I love the video and the song as well.

I think it's great and the song is amazing. This is what people like Lady Gaga try to do. They try and create art but it comes off pretentious and preachy. Fiona is just so effortless. It's great.

I love her voice, but that video is disturbing.

Re: Cherrybling – I agree. I am not sure if I buy the whole disturbed chick thing either.

I thought it was unique and stunning imagery. I loved how the images tied together. A video that actually is as mysterious and strange as the song. It honestly made me like song more. She's just marches to the beat of her own drum.

Re: BertieLover – Totally agree with everything you said. She's unique, always has been.

Although this is quite a shift from the "normal" Fiona Apple we've seen in the past, I applaud her for doing the music her way on her terms. An artist shouldn't be controlled by a record label for the sake of money. When I first heard this song, I was thinking to myself "WTF!".. but now that she has filmed this amazingly brilliant music video.. the song makes more sense to me. I'm dying of anticipation to see her live in concert in a few weeks - as well as to hear her new album. Bravo Fiona! You've given us what we wanted and even more!!

I love her like crazy. This is a fucking amazing song, and an awesome video. But I have to agree with others that her weight loss is concerning. She looks as skinny as she was way back in her "Criminal" days. Only now she's older, so she looks even worse at such a low weight. I hope she's okay.

I liked the video! it seems like it would have been better suited for a faster paced song though? I don't think she ever pretended to be disturbed from what I've heard she was raped at the age of 12 which would obviously mess you up. Besides you don't need to be 'disturbed' to just like strange things and to want to be different. As for her weight I agree that she is too skinny but she's said before that because of her being raped she's always tried to stay skinny so that she wouldnt have any womanly curves or something like that. I really like the song and the video anyway.

I am always surprised to find my favorite artists listed on this website. In the past, Perez has covered Kate Bush, Tori Amos, and now Fiona Apple. Though, based on the comments for all of these artists, this is more of the Lady Gaga fan crowd who seemed unimpressed with genuine talent.

Fiona just did an interview about this video, she asked the Director to come up with crazy situations and to "surprise" her during the making of the video. So he did. Her recent interviews also discuss her weight and health which she talked about candidly.

This is a great song and a good visual treat.

I personally love Fiona Apple . To all of you who are saying she is too thin and needs a cheeseburger , let me tell you that you are absolutely ridiculous . And because of people like you is why the music industry is a fucking piece of shit. Because you are too lazy to look beyond the external and analyze the message all of these true artists want to deliver . You are the sheep , you are the followers in society who are easily manipulated . I suggest you wake up and make an effort to think and read and educate yourselves in different matters , because if not , honestly you will be doomed . Look at Hitler and Stalin and all of these great yet horrific leaders , they wrapped millions around their pinkies . I highly encourage you not to be part of the millions. Bonne Journee a tout les personnes ! Au revoir !

@Oh la la , mon dieu !, you probably thought Amy Winehouse was perfectly fine and everyone who thought something was wrong with her was a sheep, amiright?

  23. Oh la la ! Mon Dieu! says – reply to this

    23

@Pusheez , cherie! You are clearly not understanding my message. Duh! Of course Amy Winehouse was ill , it was obvious. Her consumption of drugs and alcohol was exemplified by the press , geesh , the poor girl even made a song about it! If Fiona Apple does drugs and/or consumes alcohol , we'll never know about it because she doesn't make money out of her private business , only her art. Anyhow my point here is not about celebrities, it is about society. Amy Winehouse is not a valid example to prove your argument…

Really looking forward to Fiona’s new album on the 19th. Been listening to the stream on NPR too, and I think it’s brilliant songwriting, especially “Every Single Night”.

I'm sure everyone posting here about her weight and health is just the pinnacle of what a human body can be!
I love this. I love her. I'm glad she did this. I'm glad she's weird.
