Good news everyone! The Strokes have been busy slamming the jams for a FIFTH studio release at New York’s Elecrtic Lady Studios!
But don’t expect any pre-release leaks or sneaky peeks at their new music! The uber-funsies rock-pop ensemble is allll about keeping their new tunes tightly under wraps!
Strokes guitarist Albert Hammond Jr recently shared:
"We have songs that you can tell are gonna be good ones (that) we're all excited to play… I don't know if we're the kind of band that would ever play something new before it came out, just the way the Internet works and people recording it. I think even if we had the whole record done, we wouldn't play it ’til the album was out."
We can’t WAIT to hear their follow up to 2011's Angels! We play that shiz on the reg!
Sometimes we do need some ROCKER melodies floating around our brainz, or we might just implode with all the pop-electro-club (plubectro?) beats hammering away!

By the way I love The Strokes, they are my favorite band! But I heard that they weren't working on the 5th album. NME and Billboard said they were but on other sites they said management confirmed they weren't working on it just yet.
