Breaking Bad actor frisked at gun point

Racial profiling sucks and that's exactly what happened to Breaking Bad actor Giancarlo Esposito.

While casually strolling out of a play rehearsal in New York City, police officers swarmed him with their guns drawn. They proceeded to frisk him as they screamed, but then realized they had the wrong guy.

The authorities were looking for a suspect — who we assume must have been black or hispanic — in a hoodie, not a pin-striped suit.

We're sure the cops felt like idiots though. In fact, one even recognized him from his role on ABC's Once Upon A Time.

Maybe this wasn't racial profiling after all, but rather a really, really offensive strategy to get an autograph.

….your a fucking moron. Did you ever think it was maybe just that they had the wrong guys? I have stopped by police before when they were looking for a white girl who had broken into a store in the area me and my friends were hanging out in…OMG IT MUST HAVE BEEN RACIAL PROFILING! I am so sick of this woah is me bull shit from people or colour and gays. get over yourselves. want to be treated like everyone else? start acting like everyone else, stop calling faul over nothing.

According to Wikipedia, "Racial profiling refers to the use of an individual’s race or ethnicity by law enforcement personnel as a key factor in deciding whether to engage in enforcement (e.g. make a traffic stop or arrest)." But that doesn't seem to be what happened here. The suspect was probably black and so of course you're going to narrow down your search to black people among the people on the streets. Esposito probably had some other distinguishing features that were shared with the supsect as well. I don't think that's racial profiling.

Being from NY, I can honestly attest to the fact that the NYPD, Nassau and Suffolk police are OUT OF CONTROL. Not just racial profiling. ALL kinds of profiling. Basically it's everyone against them…..in their minds. BUT..if you are black, hispanic or just ethnic…man or woman..watch out. guns drawn first and a beatdown before questions. Many of us have tried to appeal to Commissioner Kelly to no avail. He's as much of a thug as they are. Ironically they are becoming like law enforcement in Mexico. More criminal than lawful.
