"We ALL have the right to speak up for what we believe in, and we should be able to do it without being bullied!!" UMMMMMMM then why the fuck do you jump down anyone's throat that disagrees with you?! Fucking hypocrite.

So what? There are and will always be homophobes. Time to ignore them all.

  3. 3

…She's a country singer. Of course the cousin-lovin', backwoods, no-teeth-havin'-hicks would take an issue with this and anything that didn't involve lard-dipped ribs and fucking your sister.

  4. 4

So YOU can express YOUR opinions and speak up for your own beliefs and agenda, and others can only do that if they agree with you? NO. Nice try, but NO. I do not accept your pathetic double standard, Perez. YOU always show YOURSELF to be the hater and the bully. You call people out, label them, and bully them here, but if they did the same to you, you would play the victim. NO. I DO NOT ACCEPT YOUR PATHETIC DOUBLE STANDARD. Try a new tactic, because this one is so worn it's transparent. You need a new act. I'm glad that those who don't agree with Underwood HAVE THE EQUAL RIGHT OF FREEDOM OF SPEECH THAT YOU DO. Suck it up, Perez.

"@carrieunderwood Is a disgrace. Being vegan and supporting gay marriage doesn't seem very country at all."—- Yeah, next thing you know, Carrie will be taking up book learning and want to make dental appointments! I can't believe how ignorant and backwards some people are. Even if they don't agree with gay marriage, why hate someone for their personal beliefs. Carrie Underwood is in no position to change policies, nor does she have any influence within the government, so what difference does her opinion make. These "Christians" kill me!!

  6. 6

Re: Shannon92 – Wow. You're as pathetic as Perez is. Is that the best you can do, call predictable names? I'd love to see you say that to any of those people in person; you'd find out what southern whoop ass is, IF you survived it. You are an ignorant twat, and I suspect you have personal knowledge of fucking your close family members. You probably love it, pig.

Re: Shannon92 – HAHAHAHAHA!!!! Perfectly said!!

Re: Shannon92 – Another hypocritical bimbo. So if I said, gays are sick, perverted, love licking each other balls, dress in pink cut off shirts at the belly button and talk with a lisp you would go apeshit..HYPOCRITE

  9. 9

Why does country music have to be so homophobia? She has the freedom to believe whatever she likes… this is America! The conservative party is the "anti-party." They're anit-gay, anti-women's rights, anti, anti, anti. I'm so tired of people meddling in other's lives.

  10. 10

How about we stop sugar-coating discrimination by calling it an 'opinion'. If you are against marriage equality, you are for legislated discrimination. Discrimination is hate.

You're the people forcing the "right" foods down our throats.
No sodas unless they're the right size.
The right size hamburers and fries is next on the list from Mayor Nanny Bloomberg of NYC.
No one should be allowed to eat a large size fries.
You're the people forcing electric cars down our throats.
No plastic bags in Los Angeles when that whole "it's good for the earth" bullshit is exactly that, bullshit and a con.
You're the people forcing everyone has to have the same crap healthcare.
    -
Meddling. The Nanny Staters are all about meddling and enforcement of rules and regulations that take away all basic freedoms except for the perverts and moochers.

So, what are you? Moocher or a pervert?

Perez you say we all should be able to voice our opinion and thats all the other people are doing as well.. I am a Christian and i dont care what her comments are or her beliefs I like her music and will continue to buy her albums … However You hold a double standard to people who do not support your views.. Those people are good and open and it is ok they speak what they believe.. however if they dont agree with your view (like Bristol Palin) then they arent allowed to say what they believe because then you have mean things to say about what they are saying and you "Bully" them with your words as you call it.. Practice what you preach even when you dont like what people are saying and the views they hold

  14. 14

Glad to see she promoting equality . What on earth do these homophobes think their losing some misguided rectitude?

  15. 15

Re: Laura – Because the 'other side' is trying to create and maintain legislation that limits the rights of people in this country. It shouldn't be hard for you to understand.

  16. 16

    Re: rosebud99 – Here here!

  17. 17

Re: Jessica – The reason why it doesn't work both ways is because when your opinion turns into bigoted legislation that limits the rights of other individuals, it's not just your opinion. You have to understand that. Being a racist wasn't 'just an opinion' during the civil rights movement in the 1960's, and the same applies here. I've seen you and other people continuously ask this question on these forums and never reply again, so you obviously do not care or wish to know the answer to your question, but hopefully one of these times you will.

( This story is crying wolf and the wolf is not there ) lol #1 CBN did a nice nice story only saying what do you Chritians think of Gay rights? #2 You pick out 2 comments out of a couple of hunderd ( Most said who cares what Carrie says? ) #3 The CBN youtube page only has 9,000 views. Out of Gay's, CBN fans, and Carrie Fans only 9,000 people thought this important enough to go see it. Last, Carrie was asked the same question last year and ignored it. I am sure her saying something has noting to do that she said it in England and her album comes out in England this week. I am all for Gay rights but please do not over Hype things as you are doing now and pick someone that is actually for the Gay community and not just trying to make news for herself PS: Carrie can never say anything that is not aproved by American Idol = It is in her contract as they speak for her. This is American Idol saying this and guess what? There is no video of her actually saying anything ( just a story ) Geeee lol

  21. 21

Re: NookiesWA – You have a lot of nerve trying to call out somone. I can recall many of your post that applaud both racist and sexist behavior. Please sit your ass down!

I'm a happily married straight woman. I believe in a nuclear family. However, regardless of someones sexual orientation, race, religion every human being should be treated with repect and be given the benefit of the doubt. Whatever people do/ don't do is their business and NOT our place to judge. It should be- treat people the way u want to be treated. Stop being full of hate and judgement and stop bullying people. That's what the hell is wrong with people. Carrie has the right to feel/believe anything she wants. It's not like she's saying oh, u have to believe and follow what I do.

  23. 23

People can love or hate gays. But it does not change any thing. Gay people do not have a choice. If a person hates and hates and hates gay, the gays are still gay and all these people have hated in vain and it did not change anything.

    24

Perez youre being ridiculous. You always focus on the negative of every situation and go crazy if it concerns the LGBT community. Carrie was bound to get negative response from some people. She's a COUNTRY artist. I don't know why you have to be dramatic about the situation. They're are plenty of country artists who have come out in support of gay rights. I've been reading plenty of comments of people who still love Carrie even though they may not agree w/ her. I seriously doubt this will affect her amazing career.

  25. 25

Re: rosebud99 – oh come ON…America is the country of the opinionated, it's our first amendment right…. Gays have the right to be gay… It's the same for the other side. No one in the KKK was blamed or put in prision for their actions, now you want to crucify people for their words???? Double double standard.

  26. 26

Re: JessicaRe: Jessica – You are so right, joethehobo goes off at anybody who types up "Christ" . Props to you and Carrie both for standing up in believe in. Shame to Perez for being an uber biased freak. You say equality for all, include everybody.

there really are some vile people in this world

  28. 28

And what the hell is wrong with being vegan???? An avid carnivore myself, being vegan doesn't mean your a bad American, just a veggie one.

  29. 29

Re: honeylove021 – I don't want to crucify anyone for the words, I just want people, if they are for discrimination, to say it like it is, and not pretend it is something benign.

  30. 30

Poor Carrie. Some of the bigoted redneck country fans make me ashamed to be a Christian right now. They use the bible for hate instead of love.

Carrie has a right to her opinion and I admire her for her courage to speak up in the face of such ignorance and rabid hateful socalled "christians."

The crazies reached a new low wgen they attacked Carrie for being a vegan. Seriously??!! Hating someone for eating vegetables now?? Are these people for real??

I am proud of Carrie for taking a stand in the face of such hateful rabid hypocritical socalled Christians.

  31. 31

Re: rosebud99 – for some, it's not like don't care for the person, they don't care for what they do. It is suppose to be "hate the sin, love the sinner" , but many are "hate the sin, discriminate/hate the sinner."

  32. 32

Re: honeylove021 – Alright, you are just getting downright malicious. I have been VERY respectful of Christians on this site, because, for the most part, they have been respectful to me. Christianity honors love and tolerance above all else, and I have been very vocal about that, even when people on my side say I'm wrong for saying so.

YOU have GOT to stop equating Christianity to bigotry. Have some respect. I am very vocal about my disdain for bigots, NOT Christians. It's because of people like you that the difference between the two is blurred. You have been very vocal about your issues with gay marriage, and that is because you are a bigot, NOT a Christian.

  33. 33

Re: honeylove021 – Please go back and read my posts about Mrs. Underwood and other Christians who take a stand for love and equality. I have nothing but deep respect and admiration for them. In fact, I have stated that I wish there were more of them out there.
We have seen you time and time again use your faith as a shield whenever you are called a bigot, by more people than just me alone, and it's time you took responsibility for your actions.

Now you have NEVER taken anything that I have said into account when you compose your next reply, and I sure as hell don't expect you to change now. So you can go on thinking I'm the bad guy here, but do NOT try to tarnish my reputation on this site by calling me a Christian hater. My posts speak for themselves, just as yours certainly do, and I have been nothing but kind and respectful to the Christian community.

  34. 34

    Re: KarrieBelle

Carrie Underwood graduated college with honors - magna cum laude. She was also
Salutatorian of her high school class. So your steretype that country singers are ignorant is ignorant and wrong.

I agree with you otherwise though. The vegan comment was the height of ignorance and just darn sad.

  35. 35

I am a country fan & CU fan, 56 yo dude. Straight - straight from the womb. I have been around and seen a bunch of crazy shit in my time. Carrie Underwood can sing, seems to be a pretty cool chic, fun personality, definitely very cute, great legs. Outside of that, did I say she had great legs? Oh yea, she has avoided scandal, seems to avoid wardrobe malfunctions, has morals & values. She's right, who is she to judge. She could not win either way she answered that question. I agree/ don't agree - answer - you lose. Me personally, I could care less as long as it doesn't cost me any cash. Keep on singing little lady . I've seen you in concert twice & you rock kiddo. Oh, by the way, to clear the record, I DO NOT hang here, noticed the headlines, clicked the link and here I am. Who the heck is Perez Hilton? Related to that Hilton chick that crashes motorcycles and makes poorly lit self promoting porn flicks? Was this Perez dude the dude in the porn flick with that Hilton chic?

  36. 36

Re: honeylove021 – I didn't pounce on you the other day when you made an absolute idiot out of yourself on the other thread because I respected you, despite how irrational your many posts were. Let's see how you turn my post into some anti-Christian rant this time. I can't wait to see what in the world you come up with, but you always do. You need to realize people think you're an idiot because of the way you speak, argue, conduct yourself, and how you justify your behavior, NOT because you're a Christian. Although I don't blame you; If I were you I'd wish people hated me for being a Christian, too, instead of all of those things.

  37. 37

Re: joethehobo – If I am bigot, then it is only to your beliefs because you are ignorant to me and mine, and the "other side". I'm sorry because in your past posts it seemed like you were the one equating Christians to bigotry.
it's really hard to believe that just stating my opinion is act of bigotry, yet you do very much the same.

  38. 38

Absolute idiot? Ha!!! I think some quite agreed with me!!!! Check it out

  39. bambolina1428 says – reply to this

    39

We al have the right to speak up for what we believe in?! But if someone believed in anything slightly conservative and spoke up about it… THEY WOULD BE WRONG.

  40. 40

Re: bambolina1428 – like what? what is considered slightly conservative?

  41. 41

Re: honeylove021 – Unfortunately for you, my posts speak for themselves. Again, unfortunately for yourself, your posts speak for themselves as well. You have stated multiple times on this site your feelings toward homosexuality. You maintain that homosexuality just doesn't belong in some places, the church included, and that is the definition of bigotry. I support your right to feel that way, but have the decency and awareness to call it what it is. I have seen you, in a matter of just one week, go from saying you believe in gay marriage, to saying you are against it, to now saying straight people and Christians are the ones being persecuted on other threads. Your posts speak for themselves. You are totally irrational but insist on throwing your opinion out there, to a fault. I envy your confidence.

  42. 42

Re: honeylove021 – The reason you admittedly have trouble understanding my posts is because you just don't READ them. Or at least it sure seems that way. If you really read my posts you would know how respectful and grateful I am to the Christian community. There's no grey area. I think you are an idiot because of the things you say on this site and what you manage to comprehend or not comprehend from the posts above you, not because you're a Christian. It sounds like you've been using your faith as an excuse for years and it doesn't look like you're going to stop anytime soon. Again, I strongly encourage you to look at many other Christians who maintain their faith along with their integrity and willingness to love and tolerate. It sounds like you're not too far off from that, and I truly think you want everyone to get along, but you have GOT to stop making this a Christians vs gay thing.

  43. 43

    And her career's over.

  44. 44

You obvi dont read my posts… you said didnt matter that i support gay marriage because im straight… i have never made it about christian vs gay, I only say tolerance to both sides…

    45

    Re: KarrieBelle
LOL. One problem is that it's no longer just a personally held belief. The moment Carrie went public, it became a publicly held belief. In that forum, any belief (particularly one that is known to be extremely controversial) will be picked apart, chewed and likely trampled. If she can't stand the heat, she shouldn't have ventured into the kitchen, so to speak.

  46. 46

Re: luvs2hustle – I can still get plastic bags where I live (which is a suburb of LA City) thank heavens. One of the stores I shop at, the paper bags have handles, the other does not, so for me with a bad back, I take the plastics every time.

I like country music, first got into it when my late husband and I spent a couple of months in Denton, TX on a plant startup in the oilfield and I got really hooked on Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson. Also learned how to eat nachos with jalapenos there.

  47. 47

Re: Taylorsucks – My "book learning" comment was meant to be sarcasm and certainly wasn't aimed at Carrie, but more so at the backwood hicks who are attacking her for saying she supports equality and for being a vegan.

  48. 48

Dolly Parton, McIntire, Rascall Flatts, and many other country stars have supported gay rights and marriage for YEARS. This will not hurt Carrie's career. There will always be cowards that express hate by blogging.

  49. 49

Re: teeter totter – You are aware that many grocers now have reusable, environmentally friendly, bags that are as cheap at 99cent each, right? They even have handles on them! Fancy, huh?

Re: luvs2hustle – You do realize that the rest of us have to live on this planet as well? What is so wrong with trying to recycle and if you cant recycle, you should have to pay the 10cent per plastic bag. Hell, if I can buy plastic baggies to pick up my dogs poop, than surely you can pay for them for your groceries!

I'll admit that Bloomberg's tactics are a bit absurd, mainly, because there is an easy way around them and adults should have enough common sense to know that they shouldn't drink two gallons of soda a day and eat double, chili cheese, pastrami burgers. Hey it's your prerogative! Keep in mind that the rest of us conscientious eaters have health premiums that are sky rocketing because people like you will not accept that pot roast smothered in gravy is not part of a balanced breakfast and now are flooding our emergency rooms because of high blood pressure and cholesterol problems. Meanwhile, you're the same people who don't want Obama to socialize health care. I don't get it! And you're mad at us because we are saying go easy on the gravy?!

  50. Kelly says – reply to this

    50

I just don't get why people care so much about other peoples lives. If two people love each other, they SHOULD be allowed to get married. A woman can get married to a man up to ten times and vice versa and probably not even be in love with your significant other half the time so why shouldn't two people who truly love each other get married? What does gender have to do with love? because when you love someone, you are loving them for their mind, heart, and soul, not by what they look like. So why don't these "homophobes" mind their own business (no ones bothering you ) and worry about their own lives full of hate, which is no life worth living in my opinion.

  51. 51

Re: honeylove021 – You think I said it doesn't matter if you support gay marriage because you're straight!? Of course it matters! Straight people are the ones who are deciding who gest rights in this country, not gay people!! Why would I have said that?

What I said was if gay marriage is legalized, it wouldn't affect you. There's a big difference. Did you really believe I said it doesn't matter what straight people think about gay people? You're comprehension seems to be even worse than I thought.

  52. 52

Re: Kelly – You're spot on, Kelly. The fact that you can only get married depending on what body part is between your legs seems so childish and immature to me. This country should be centuries past this kind of thing.

I really don't think Carrie out promoting anything. She was asked a question and she gave her answer. It's not like she was standing in a picket line. She wasn't telling anyone to follow her. It's the media that causes this type of thing. Is she not supposed to answer the question because someone disagrees with her.

  56. 56

I am a Christian and respect what Carrie said. Read 1 Peter 3: 8-9. We are to treat others with understanding, compassion and have love for our brothers. We do not give an insult for an insult or a sin for sin. We do not judge. Jesus means love and that is exactly what Carrie gave. "Gay Friendly" church is what? A church with gays in it? I wonder if there is a church in America without a gay person in it!

  58. 58

I dont agree with her view but do for instance support Carrie Prujeans view that marriage was always intended to be between one man and one women
Sure I am a christian and I have a number of gay friends who I love and respect..one of them is my own nephew….There will always be a variety of views about gay marriage and what people think but for me as a Christian its about what God thinks and what he says in his word..Christians arent perfect we all know that and none of us are
But wether we be Gay or straight Jesus invites all to come unto him..i certainly dont have all the magical answers but I know that when folk give there lives over to Jesus amazing changes take place.. why not give Jesus a try!!

  59. 59

Rosebud How about we stop sugar-coating discrimination by calling it an 'opinion'. If you are against marriage equality, you are for legislated discrimination. Discrimination is hate.

Rosebud you got this wrong A different view is not hate
I dont hate Gays I have a number of Gay friends Some of them attend my church
and I treat them with love and respect as I would anyone and make them feel welcome
Do i have all the answers??no!! but do beleive God does …yes
Jesus said I am the way the truth and the life..I beleive that!
    Take care and God bless

She 's spoken her beliefs and opinion. Done. done. Old news. Carry on. You, Me and all of us have an opinion and belief and nobody cares. By the way, I'm a conservative and
I'm against Same Sex- Marriage, but doesn't mean I hate or dislike Gays or Lesbian. I have
a lot of friends and co-workers that are Gays. Carrie supports Marriage Euality, so what?
She's just saying what she beliefs in. No reason to dislikes her ’cause of her beliefs and
opinion. Love her songs and music. She's a beautiful woman with a big good heart.

  64. Frances27 says – reply to this

    64

The reason she is hated for this is because she is a hypocrite. A few years ago, when she was still okay with atually standing up for something, she was a Christian and proud of it. But now that the ultra-bigoted, ultra-leftist media has gotten to her, suddenly she supports gays. That is hypocrisy, and nobody likes it. It really doesn't have anything to do with gays, she's just a giant hypocrite. That's why people are angry. Oh, and to do anything other than commend her for her veganism is a sickening disgrace. "She doesn't support torturing and killing other life forms for our own selfish benefit?! What a bitch!"
