The Pentagon Is Planning A LGBT Pride Event This Month!

Pentagon gay pride day

LGBT pride is sweeping the country! Next stop?

The Pentagon!

In a statement issued on Thursday, a spokesperson revealed the Department of Defense is holding its very FIRST gay pride event EVER later this month!

While speaking on behalf of Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta, Navy Capt. John Kirby told sources:

"Now that we've repealed 'don't ask, don't tell,' he feels it's important to find a way this month to recognize the service and professionalism of gay and lesbian troops."

Change is HERE, folks! And we expect it to keep on coming too.

We couldn't be more thrilled that the government is finally honoring a group of minorities that, up until last year, were unable to disclose their sexuality. Who knows what will be next as the LGBT community and their supporters continue to advocate for equality, but it can only get better from here.

Do ask, do tell and be PROUD!

I have already contacted my legislators about the pentagon needing more to do if they have time to do some ridiculous gay pride thing. I do not consent to my tax dollars being spent on a celebration of sexual deviance. It's sick and it's wrong.

I don't want my tax dollars going to this garbage

I enjoy my tax money being spent on a "celebration" aka a s** orgy (I've seen these parades) when my country is apperently in debt. America - land of the not-free and home of the idiots.

Even I don't agree with this, and I'm gay. This is not a good use of tax dollars. Instead of stepping in and declaring the inequality of rights in this country unconstitutional, like during the civil rights movement in the 60's, they leave it up for people to fend for themselves and pledge to spend money that we simply don't have to attempt to change peoples' minds on homosexuality. Gay Pride is just that. It's for gay people. Straight people could care less about gay pride, and rightfully so.

Why don't we save the money for something more beneficial and just declare the oppression and taking away of rights of millions of people unconstitutional, which is FREE. After all, if the civil rights movement in the 60's was just left up to a public vote, we might still be segregated. Our country is an embarrassment right now.

Great. When will have a straight pride? Better yet a Christian pride?? What about one for the atheists?
